I don’t think it was unreasonable to expect this season to be a promotion push. Players obviously were going to leave but why not sign a couple of high quality replacements? What’s really got me is the loans. It’s a massive opportunity to sign 3 players you could only dream of buying. Eddie from Arsenal at Leeds is a brilliant player. Instead we’ve got a lad just relegated with Ipswich and no better than Hogg in the same position. If we’re not going for promotion what is the point keeping Schindler and Kongolo? We’re paying big wages for nothing, unless we think we’re in a relegation battle. Are you sure that we're keeping them?

And when he appoints Mark Hudson permanently in a few weeks time,do any of us think he will give him funds to strengthen in January? What experience of obtaining players does Hudson actually have? There's not a chance he will appoint Hudson permanently in a few weeks time. When Wagner left Mark took charge while Siewert came in, this is no different. Feel free to drag this post out if i'm wrong. Didn't Deano state he was being installed as a coach with a view to learning so he could eventually take over as manager ?

If he's been receiving death threats then that is completely out of order and I hope the police deal with the culprits.
In terms of the football side he's been a total disaster so far. Said loads of bold statements and not backed them up. Think the club is too big for him.

Whoever Big Phil picks it has to be his decision solely. Its not Deano's problem anymore. Be your own man Phil and go for it

Absolutely appalling behaviour if true. I get there's a lot of things that are not seeming quite right and mysteries around the take over and monies etc but as with Jan personal abuse, threats is bang out of order. Can you fill me in on the things not seeking quite right regarding the takeover and the new chairman? I've heard bits and bobs but nothing specific.

Durrell, Durwell, for all this ITK nonsense, you kinda trip up yourself not knowing his name is Dowell.... Interesting detail re the Mooy new contract; I wonder - had Mooy actually signed the contract - which may have included a clause allowing him to pursue any PL interest in him - or did it become a stipulation of him going out on loan to BHA that he sign the new contract to protect us from him leaving at the end of the remaining one year on his old contract ? I guess we may never know. PH expected Aaron Mooy to move in the summer or early part of the window for same reasons as us , he is a quality player - as mentioned earlier he had Dowell lined up as his replacement. As it got well in to the window no official approach or maybe acceptable bid had been made so PH called Aaron personally and made him the offer to stay at Town. PH went to great lengths to say just how great and good Aaron Mooy was as a person and how much Aaron stressed he loved it at the Town , his attitude was tremendous at all times. The new contract in wages was a club record and Aaron was happy to verbally accept it , no contract was signed but it was verbally agreed. Aaron then changed agents and his new agent was obviously actively seeking him a move back in to the premier league , the day after the Derby defeat Aaron came to see PH to tell him about the Brighton offer - Aaron was very apologetic and stated it was all about continuing to play in the premier league. PH now had to do what as best for HTFC and to be fair he commended Aaron Mooy in assisting him to do the best for Town with the situation as it was. Aaron contract ran out at the end of the season so they discussed holding each other to the contract and Aaron leaving for free at the end of the season - both agreed not to do this , Aaron could have been totally selfish and held out for this - PH was very complimentary toward Aaron for not doing this. in the end two very decent people did a deal that works for everyone , win , win - but this could only be done by two people who liked and respected each other. PH asked Aaron if he would sign a 3 year contract , this would enable Town to get a decent fee if the move was a success however PH negotiated and Aaron was happy to accept a call back option on Aaron in January if Aaron is not playing first team football at Brighton. This is the deal and to be fair to PH it is a excellent one for Town case Aaron could have easily run down his contract , of course we would have had him this season but let's be honest Aaron would have been making sure he did not get injured. Good deal done I think.

What I don't like about our new owner is him talking about 'stabilisation' in the Championship, instead of saying 'the objective is to bounce back immediately'. Then he talks about 3 transfer windows, but this also means we might lose some of our better players. His backing of Siewert with comments about his suitability for the job is also worrying and his intimating that there's no money in the kitty is also strange - where the hell as it gone, because in this transfer window it's been the equivalent of shopping in the Card Factory. We’re a Championship club...stabilisation is utterly key. We HAVE to get rid of the “better” players as they’ve suddenly lost 40% of what they’ve got a taste for, meanwhile the club has two more seasons to prepare for losing 80%+ of its income. Don’t prepare for that and Hudds Town is a nothing League 2 club at best in 5 years time. But..,you can’t just shoo everyone out the door immediately, transfers don’t work like that, so of course it’s going to take this first season (three windows) to get to a half decent position squad wise. Talk of bouncing back would be utterly utterly ludicrous. We had a perfect storm of luck when we got promoted and we don’t have anywhere close to as well balanced a squad now as we had then. To finish top half would be a huge achievement.

Dean turned to Phil not the other way round...he may not be loaded but it's not his fault if Dean has given him the club and said pay me my 50m out of the parachute payments!!
Being a Town fan he's taken this on to protect the club he loves!
I think people need to start asking why a man worth nearly 400 million need's his cash back out of club fund's!!
Plain fucking greedy!!
We all spend cash on the club we love and 20k of us expect nothing back!!.... other than seeing the club win a few games
All the best Phil 👍

However, what i’m not having is that there wasn’t another creative midfielder in the world we couldn’t sign! Even if this only allowed a couple of days i’m still not having we couldn’t use the money Brighton we’re giving us, unexpected funds clearly, to get a top player probably on loan. There’s no reason this squad, plus one top player, could not have aimed for promotion.

I get the impression the 3 window transfer trajectory is to keep those we want to keep and have the right and proper attitude for Huddersfield Town and the results we want hence Hogg signing new and I guess improved contract - offering Mooy a stunning contract but also to take out those that don't have the right attitude and only want what's best for them ...... It takes time hence the 3 window strategy which I understand can be taken out of context but I feel was a transparent dialogue to have with the fans albeit possibly too open , maybe ...... Easy in hindsight but at least Phil talks to us .....lets not loose this openness .

Do not agree at all re Dean; he’s put himself front and centre of pushing our club from League One to two years in the greedy league. He has every right to ask for his money back without question. Plus we don’t know if the return of funds was immediate or staggered.

Dean saved Town from mediocrity and pumped loads of his own cash in to sustain us. We hit the PL jackpot as a result and if he wanted the money back I don't think it's an unreasonable ask. I don't for a moment think he would have done the same if we'd not had the PL cash.
Most of us don't know how the deal was structured, but if the speculation that he gave the club to PH for a nominal amount with his repayments coming from parachute money is true then it is fair for fans to question whether this was the best outcome. Basically, has Dean decided that it is better for the club to be owned by a fellow fan and be £40m-£50m down as a result, rather than selling to a foreign investor who may have paid Dean his money and therefore some/all of the parachute funds remained in the cash flow for squad or infrastructure investment? Big call if so.
On the other hand, PH may have more money than we think and have paid Dean from his own pocket. Or Dean may not have asked for the money back after all.

Greedy is some fan happily enjoying some bloke financing his club to its best years for many decades, then not being happy when he receives it back. You greedily expect him to plough his tens of millions into the club and leave it there as a gift. You do get something back for the vastly reduced season ticket cost the greedy man lets you have. You get 23 games to watch that aren;t in league 2, again thanks to the bloke youre calling greedy.

HTFC has existed long before Dean Hoyle!
Ffs..my best years watching Town was at Leeds road seeing us win the 4th division title and further promotions under Mick Buxton
I understand some of you lot just don't get it!!
The club doesn't exist without us the supporters... collectively we are the club's biggest investors!... without us the club is nothing!
None of us expect anything back and neither should he!
