Why is Hodgkinson getting off Scott free here? He talked a load codswallop at that Q&A 3 PL loans coming in, never materialised, kissing Seiwerts arse dismisses him at the first opportunity, provides him with the smallest transfer kitty when the club has never been richer, sells best players with no suitable replacement. He better get this one bang on or he will be next. Ahem! Chalobah, Grabara. Said they were working on loans. Hopefully bringing in three. "Two out of three ain't bad". PH did make a additional comment the loans would be on a par with Mooy....or words to that effect...

Agree with the OP and this is a great opportunity for PH to impress the fans. Quite simply we need experience and I can’t see beyond Hughton for what’s out there. Pay him what he wants. It’s pales into insignificance versus the sums we have spent on some of these absolute wasters on the pitch Dour football. No better than powell just with better players. If we appoint houghton then season ticket sales will drop quicker than the pound after brexit. For me.... Arteta or someone know tonyje director of football. Most of the time you talk absolute fucking horse shit. However, sometimes you actually manage to lower those abysmal standards and plumb new depths with your made-up fantasy facts. What you know about football would still leave space if you typed it in bold on the sharp end of a fucking needle. Just fuck off.

Hughton all day long. He’s lived all over the country so don’t see location as an issue The only thing is, is he holding out for another crack at the prem Didn't sound like it mate when he was on Hawkesby & Jacobs on Talksport a few days ago. He's raring to go at another project. He's a possible that's for sure.

The only thing guaranteed about the new Mgr is that he will instantly be classed as shit and our saviour in equal measure on here.
How much time they're given will depend on the viewpoint of course.
The only thing I'd ask for, is to hire someone with credible man mgmt skills, because some of this bunch showed JS zero respect. That has to change, otherwise it doesn't matter what Phil H does. The point at which we have the players calling the shots off the pitch is the point we will be knackered...

Don't think he's getting away Scott free, he's had a lot criticism and some pretty bad personal abuse over the past few weeks, a lot of it on here. I didn't hear the Q&A personally but not everybody seems to thing he talked 'codswallop'. That's what opinions are about I guess. Why do so many refuse to accept the fact that we have 2 PL loans, they were both on the pitch last night. Ok 2 isn't 3 but transfer dealings are not as easy as we supporters think they are. Kissing Siewerts arse, really? Chairmen generally 'back' their coaches publicly until they don't and then they get the boot. In this case Phil didn't dismiss him at the first opportunity, he could have done it earlier. He sold players who didn't seem to want to be here and loaned a player who wanted to play in the Prem and got a chance. Don't fully understand Mooys loan as opposed to a sale to be honest at least part of the decision was to not stand in the lads way in the twilight of his career. As for the finances, let's face it we don't know how rich the club really is worth or what the transfer kitty was or will be in future. If there is money and I agree there ought to be then if Phil was harbouring doubts about Jan, maybe he thought it wise to hang on. Only time will tell as they're not going to come out and say we're worth X and have Y to spend. In summary Phil has been at the helm for relatively no time at all. He took over at a bad, bad time but Dean Hoyle seems to have been confident in his decision and that's got to count for something. Let's please give the bloke chance, he might pray god get this next appointment right and we've still got a lot of season left to play. And to those already saying he has to go, please explain how that works and which Trillionaire is waiting in the wings to lavish his wealth on 'Uddersfield Town

Has to be big Sam or House of Pards Allardyce? Nope. If we had squillions to spend or a squad that was eminently far too good for the division but underperforming he'd be a great shout. Assuming of course that he'd come here. Which he wouldn't. Pardew has a very mixed record. I'm not sure what gives chairmen confidence to keep giving him high profile jobs.

Who ever we end up with they will have an enormous job on their hands to keep us in this division. This group downed tools at Christmas and have not put a shift in since. Our midfield is appalling. No creativity, no energy and no work ethic. We have a couple of good defenders and one good striker, the rest.............. They claim to be professional footballers - what a joke. I have followed HTFC for over 50 years and seen some dark days but when it comes to bad attitude this group take some beating. The only success they have achieved is in getting a manager, they did not fancy ,out of a job They have been robbing a wage for over six months and do we now expect them to throw a switch and become all 100 per centers again just because they have a new boss. I hope so. But if they do it will make their past behaviour even more reprehensible.

I've watched enough long ball stuff over the years, I'd rather not go back to watching it. Would satisfy the 'gerrit forad' brigade, and may get us some results, but I'd personally not want to watch us play that way.

Surely Winter and Josh Marsh have to be sacked also? I definitely don't want Houghton he is soft and clueless, would be a disaster again. Our club has undone all the good work and everyone at the clib needs a massive meeting to sort out this mess or it will kill us I'm not sure on Hughton is the right fit but 'clueless' - how the fuck do you come to such a damning description with his CV?

PH did make a additional comment the loans would be on a par with Mooy....or words to that effect... That was unwise. But he didn't say that. He was hoping they had the same effect as Mooy - who was no doubt classed as being crap before he played for us. Just like the two current loans haven't been given a chance yet and have been written off by the usual negative posters. The goalkeeper looks OK to me and Chalobah should do a decent job screening the back four.

I don;t get the idea that Houghtons football is less exciting than Wagners was. Brighton weren't dull in the championship when they went up and scored a hell of a lot more goals than we did that season. They 'went' for it more than we did in the prem too. All Town fans care about is winning at the end of the day. Totally agree. If you are winning, very few care what sort of football you play. Think Warnock 1994-95. Most of that was anti-football but we were near the top all season and the crowds were very good.

He did the same thing Mooy did at the end of the Derby game.

Could be our last chance to use this parachute cash to get a manager in who can make a difference. Just hope we don’t squander it. Looking at some of the other managers in this league the club need to start thinking bigger and quickly.
