I would like it to be him or I'm warming to the idea of the Cowley's. Can't argue with their record, but I have reservations about their style of play. I've watched enough long ball stuff over the years, I'd rather not go back to watching it. Would satisfy the 'gerrit forad' brigade, and would May get us some results, but I'd personally not want to watch us play that way. I saw Lincoln at Crawley late on last season and saw the same game the season before as well. Lincoln played some quality stuff for L2 level, with lots of pressing and innovation with the dead ball. What they also weren’t afraid of was the long ball when it was needed, some physical stuff and playing the referee to their advantage. All evidence of good coaching, even if the ethics of some of it wasn’t maybe what you’d like to see.

Presumably you didn't see Lincoln pass the ball on Tuesday, better than we've done for almost 12 months. I didn't. I'm basing my opinion on what I've seen of Lincoln previously, and what I've read. They played more long balls than any of the other top six in League Two last season. I accept they played at a lower level, and with different players, but I wouldn't expect a manager's key philosophies to change too much at a new club. Perhaps beggars can't be choosers, but the thought of watching Town thumping high balls forward is not something I relish. I accept we are utterly ineffective at the moment, but I'm not sure going direct, with the players we have, is the way forward.

Who ever we end up with they will have an enormous job on their hands to keep us in this division. This group downed tools at Christmas and have not put a shift in since. Our midfield is appalling. No creativity, no energy and no work ethic. We have a couple of good defenders and one good striker, the rest.............. They claim to be professional footballers - what a joke. I have followed HTFC for over 50 years and seen some dark days but when it comes to bad attitude this group take some beating. The only success they have achieved is in getting a manager, they did not fancy ,out of a job They have been robbing a wage for over six months and do we now expect them to throw a switch and become all 100 per centers again just because they have a new boss. I hope so. But if they do it will make their past behaviour even more reprehensible. TTID It looked like one of our good defenders was saying his farewells at the end last night. He did the same thing Mooy did at the end of the Derby game. Didn't see that. Which one?

Clean slate...season still over. After 3 games? Yep. Not enough winners Slapps. Not enough goals in the team. Lost Mooy our best player....barely won in over a year. Harry Potter and Houdini in tandem could not turn this lot around. I hoped for sixth...pre-season i said bottom half...today i looked at our relegation prices.

Well theyve not been winners in a town shirt for a long while, but pretty much all of them have been winners in the past. What we have is a side used to losing, lacking good management and with morale and confidence on the floor. But theres enough quality in this squad, with the right manager of course, to more than compete in this division IMO.

He made a list of wingers, fell out with DH and left. DW and DH bought the wingers and DW then changed to a system without wingers. The podcast got to this point and left it alone, to stick with rah rah anecdotes.

Ahem! Chalobah, Grabara. Said they were working on loans. Hopefully bringing in three. "Two out of three ain't bad". PH did make a additional comment the loans would be on a par with Mooy....or words to that effect... No he didn’t. He said he hoped they would be able to “make a similar impact” to that which Mooy did. Arguably Grabera will have a greater impact than Mooy did on results. He’s certainly been more actively involved in a positive way in these opening games than Mooy in pretty much any game in 2019. Chalobah may go on to have a similar impact, we don’t know....(although I’d predict it’s unlikely).
