I hope he drops Kachunga for anyone I’m no great fan of Kachunga but he was a long way from our weakest link on Friday. He worked hard and, unlike other midfielders and frontmen, he rarely lost the ball cheaply. But never does owt with the ball, he just fills a shirt. Working hard should be a given tbh

I agree it should be but who can you genuinely say gives everything, doesn’t stop and plays as if it is the only 90 minutes that matter? Half the players don’t even break sweat. Kachunga is no different to Pritchard, they both run about a lot with little product, yet Kachunga’s fee was a pittance compared to Pritchard. To be honest, without looking at stats, I would say Kachunga has been much more effective for Town than Pritchard has but Pritchard gets nothing like the stick Kachunga does.

If everyone else put the kind of effort in that Kachunga does our chances of victory would be much higher. Only if it's matched with ability. I've never complained about the effort he puts in but I just don't think he's very good, a teutonic Novak. As I've put elsewhere putting 100% effort should be a given rather than something out of the ordinary

Other than me, and I've never hidden that I don't rate him, I've not seen him get much stick. I think he gets an easy ride on here cos he's a nice bloke and he always has time for the fans. I agree Pritchards a disappointment though.

It will be interesting to see what Hudson does with the defence. As a centre half, himself, who does he rate?

Can't wait for this one. Finally looking forward to the games again!
Fingers crossed Hudson will change it around and stick Pritchard in CAM. Have a hunch Elphwick will stay at CB but hopefully it'll be a back 3 rather than having Kongolo LB.

Diakhaby to come on as an impact sub along with Campbell possibly? Oh.. and Quaner nowhere near the XI.

All very interesting conjecture regarding what, if any difference Hudson will make, who he will pick, what formation he uses blah blah blah. Bottom line is if the players choose to do the job they are paid handsomely to do they will put on a competitive performance regardless of formation or team selection. If they want to continue to behave like petulant, spoiled brats to prove some mysterious point in their tiny minds, then they will continue to look abject individually and as a team.
Ultimately, behaving and performing as they have of late is only harming their own value and appeal to any other club.
Billing should have gone for over £20m. In my opinion, the reason he went for less is down to his intermittent performances and cry baby attitude. Nobody doubts he could be a £59m player, but it is up to him to show it
I would exclude Grabara and Schindler from the above comments btw

Cardiff fans moaning that they have zero pace at the back and not much more in midfield where they have a relative of Bacuna who seems to be getting the same amount of stick as our own Bacuna. Diakhaby to start please.

As for Chalobah, I've see some comments from Chelsea fans saying he should be playing centre back.

Who knows what this team will look like?!? Hudson played 4231 in his only previous game in charge, dropping Mounie for Diakhaby, Kongolo at CB, Kachunga and Mbenza wide and Puncheon at 10. I reckon he’ll use the same formation: Grabara Flo Schindler Kongolo Brown Chalobah Hogg Diakhaby Pritchard Mbenza Grant I've always thought that that team against City was picked/influenced by Siewart.

He seemed to handle himself quite well physically against Fulham so could be worth a punt at the back. Gives us a little bit more pace at the back as well.

I've always stuck with 4231 bring the best formation BUT there's no point in playing it if the positions are filled with dross. Our wingers are poor. VLP offers a little bit and Kach will run all day but not what works in that formation. Diakhaby/Mbenza are just a waist of wages. They will never kick on for us. Maybe it wasn't just a change of mindset that made Wagner change formation, maybe he realised the players brought in were just shit.
So i'm changing to.....3-4-1-2.
Grabara
Elphick - Schindler - Kongolo
Flo - Trevoh - Hogg - J Brown
Pritchard
Mounie - Grant
Subs - Schofield, Stankovic, Bockhorn, Bacuna, Campbell, Brown, VLP

Both Flo and Brown are wingbacks not fullbacks and will offer width and offer better attacking options than both Mbenza & Diakhaby which in itself is sad. Pritchard offers the creativity and the link between midfield and forwards. What it gives you is a solid spine from back to front and 2 up front. Hogg/Trevoh are "Midfielders" not "holding midfielders" in this formation as you suggest.

Thread on here saying Mounie will be off so unlikely to start.
Also unlikely to bin off our wingers.
Have a little faith. They will improve in the right system with a coach more in tune with the team.
