Soccer Saturday have just aired a piece on Lincoln City. Seems the Cowleys like an actual scout that views the players in the flesh. If PH does appoint them, young Josh may need to look for another club.

Be interesting to get a first hand opinion on them. Cheers I’ll stay to watch what they do at the end of the game. A bit stalky I guess but I deliberately chose a seat in the smaller main stand towards the Lincoln fans and close to the player’s tunnel, so I’ve got the perfect view! He’s still out there watching the warmups. I saw Lincoln late on last season at Crawley and their free kicks and corners were very innovative, They played some good stuff but were never afraid to play the referee if it suited them. I was on the opposite side of the pitch then but I remember one of the brothers getting into an argument with the Crawley bench. Exciting stuff this, having a town spy in the camp.. 👀 |

I'm outside Nigel Atkins house. He's trimming his begonias and he seems to have them well organised. Next door neighbour has just asked him if he can put his bin out on Monday and he's said "no worries".

Just got to my seat and Danny Cowley was being interviewed on the edge of the pitch. He’s just gone out to personally supervise warmups along with his brother. Very vocal and hands on. Looks like they can be tough taskmasters. I watched them closely v us Very involved in warm ups On his feet in the dugout - thoughtful / regular discussion with each other but involved in the game without shouting all game Staff clearly well drilled - as soon as Mounie was coming on one of the staff was up, checking the sub, going to his notes and had instructions to one of the brothers in seconds Nightmare for 4th official - which I like I think I'd want the full team with him. |

They were in Siewert and Hudson’s / 4th officials faces v us after our penalty appeal... 4th official had his hands full Christ when the first innovative corner doesn’t go quite right... wait til you hear Kilmer bank moan ‘can’t get it passed the bloody first man’ snzzz They use other sports to be innovative - some of their runs at set pieces are inspired by basketball for example |

Obviously it means absolutely nothing but for the last couple of years Town's football-related decisions have instinctively provoked an unpleasant feeling in the pit of my stomach.
This one hasn't.. It feels like a good move.
If they were our top target then well played everybody.

If Cowley is coming here, then Sky obviously know nothing about it, they mentioned the odds at 1/5 and then laughed about him being 1/9 with Sheffield Weds until Monk was appointed. So their sources appear to know nothing, so it will be interesting to see if anything is banded around during the game today.
