Has anyone mentioned that Mark Hudson is currently in Ibiza?!? That seems to indicate that something must be happening soon, or is that just how I see it? And allegedly PH is in Las Vegas, would suggest nothing is happening any time soon. Unless he's put a wad on number 21 hoping to find some money to sign a new manager ?

Met a bloke at a kids birthday party I had to take my little one to yesterday. Said he was part of a betting syndicate and won a bit of cash on Monk going to Sheff Wed.
Anyway turns out they get inside tips and was certain Cowley is our man..
Has money on that too.

Yeah Brid for 3 nights over the bank holiday. Fantastic weather. Glorious beaches. Magnificent time. No worse than traipsing to Eastbourne I'm sure Eastbourne is a retirement resort. Our east coast is the most visited place in the country except the capital. I was being sarcastic about not wanting to goto Spain. Eastbourne is a retirement place. Devon and Cornwall are fantastic. Scarborough, Cleethorpes etc are dumps. (Not been to brid for ages). But the weather is still worse than a gamble.

Cowley nicely bats away interest in the Hudds job, but doesn't deny it ...

forums.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/huddersfield-town.97857/page-8Quite an enjoyable read, if it does in fact turn out to be Cowley. Slagging us off left, right and centre. They’re right in regards to it being a massive challenge, one that may even be too much for the Cowleys. Not got the summer to start their building process, working with a DOF, players very low on confidence, fans on the clubs back and inheriting a losing mentality. All things Cowleys are not usually a fan of/a huge task at hand. So, yes their fans are right, how we don’t seem the most attractive proposition. What the clowns are completely failing to grasp is - MONEY. He’s rumoured to have been offered 1.5m a year, in contrast to 150k a year and that may have even been increased to prize them away. That is a substantial increase in salary and very few would ever turn that down. That over a 3 year contract say can be a life changing amount of money.

Cowley nicely bats away interest in the Hudds job, but doesn't deny it ... Doesn't really ask about the job, just asks if the speculation makes it tough to focus. Straight forward answer. Interestingly I really like ainsworth too and would not be disappointed to see him here. The conversation also went about playing proper football, ainsworth said it needs to be done more at higher levels. Cowley almost seemed to catch that as a pointed remark.

And I think that our fans will understand that it's a step up for them and will get behind them. That's one thing our fans excel at.

Wycombe are disliked by a few clubs in the lower leagues because they play the dark arts of feigning injury, conning the ref, time wasting etc apparently. Can’t say I’ve noticed them being that bad though.

I read that the other way and it sounds like an appointment is made - if it’s the cowleys it would stack up with them clearing the way at Lincoln and I guess checking contracts etc No way would PH take a holiday while we’re still actively trying to find a manager - bearing in mind he has a massive financial stake in getting this right

Hopefully

One if the biggest culprits of that, in my opinion, was Steve Clarke ex Chelsea player and coach , now Scotland manager when he brought Reading to the JSS in the Championship, 2015 ? I think, they were fkin awful, cheating, time wasting, chirping at the ref, feigning injury, stopping free kicks being taken etc etc, the worst I can remember and we've seen a few. Ironically I believe he took charge of Reading after Nigel Adkins was sacked.

he could easily have said there was nothing in it...but goes into the usual dialogue of we're just working here and getting on with the job...
reckon we got 'em...

Yeah Brid for 3 nights over the bank holiday. Fantastic weather. Glorious beaches. Magnificent time. No worse than traipsing to Eastbourne I'm sure For anyone who likes to take their dog/s for a walk on the beach - Seaham just down from Sunderland, free parking everywhere, dog friendly all year round, dog friendly cafes and bars, fish n chip shop that fry in beef dripping and a 50's style American ice cream parlour, just opposite the park with plenty of benches and the WW1 Tommy statue, same driving time as Scarborough or Blackpool. Not geared up for taking little ones but any dog owners will definitely be glad they tried it. You heard it here first. Plus I forgot to mention you can get addicted to searching for Seaham Sea Glass - world famous !! Sesham is the place for the most excellent Sunderland Air Show too.
