I apologise because I did get a bit fed up, 100 pages ago, reading all the "the next manager is" stuff, but,serious question, why are so many posters so sure it's going to be the Cowleys ? I know the bookies have them as favourites but is there any other reason people are so sure ? Thanks.

One thing that strikes me from all of this is that they seemed to be PH's number one targets. He didn't shy away when they allegedly turned him down to begin with and that he wants to do things HIS way and not follow the model of the last 3 and a bit years, with foreign managers. I'm a believer that we have as good if not BETTER coaches in this country. Aligned with their early success and massive appetite and hunger in the game I am very excited about what lies in store in both the immediate and long term futures.
One other thing worthy of note is that since PH was associated with Southport there'd likely be talk and perhaps a meeting in their non-league days. Were they ever in the same league as Lincoln? Perhaps word got around about the duo when in COncord Rangers' days?
