The Cowleys seem to believe strongly in their methods and they definitely scan as something different to the usual conveyor belt of placeholder names that fill some of us with horror. Possibly some of their schtick might seem a bit naive, like when they are talking about interviewing the whole staff of the club including the tea ladies. But I find that quite charming, it shows some humility and intent and perhaps a bit of eccentricity .. but Wagner was a bit like that as well - double training and taking the players out into deep nature etc.. I remember watching on TV a programme about leadership which was all geared around SAF. it was a recorded lecture at LSE (I think) and SAF was there to answer questions. When he took over at united he did the same thing. He got to know everyone, including the tea ladies taking the view that no matter how small a contribution, every effort has to go towards the common cause and with the same ethos. I like that approach and for anyone who hasn't seen it it is great watch.

Is it too soon to start a new song... ? Yellow Submarine melody. We've got two, at number one. They're the Cowleys, there's two of 'em. And they taught, the kids for fun. Before promotion, at Lincoln. WE... ALL ...LIVE ... in a Cowley brothers land, a Cowley brothers land, a Cowley brothers land. Yes. It is.

I like that approach and for anyone who hasn't seen it it is great watch. It’s same in business. Chat and put at ease everyone early on and when you need them they’re much more willing and able to support. Far better than the old style boss who only ever crops up to talk at you when there’s a crisis. Maybe not in football (or maybe, I’ve no idea), but in the normal world, most tactical day to day problems are solved by the guys at ground level, empowered by leadership teams.

On Lincoln fans’ forum:
I've been told today by two different, unrelated people who've been spot on with transfer news previously that they're being unveiled at Huddersfield today. Odds are shortening again too. I'm officially worried now!

What I find mildly amusing is the response if I put “oddschecker huddersfield manager” into google!
Jan Siewert is 96% likely to be the next Town manager apparently!?

117 pages still no announcement 🤣
I’m from Grantham just down from Lincoln and worked in Lincoln for a number of years. Really like the place. The shit I’ve got off their lot recently and with this whole cowley connection “no way they’ll go to your shit shower of a club” etc. This would be golden!!!
