Don't get the entitlement that we are better than Karanka, well respected as a whole with Boro fans, got them up into the Prem and Forrest fans were up in arms when he was sacked unfairly.
Granted his style isn't full throttle winning games 4/5-0 every week but he is consistent and has good pedigree and links within the professional game, it would be a yes from me. Be interested to hear people's arguments as to why not also.

Sky bet odds as of Tuesday morning: Mark Hudson 11/10 Chris Hughton 2/1 Sol Campbell 7/1 Gary Rowett 9/1 Nigel Adkins 10/1 Aitor Karanka 20/1 Daniel Stendel 20/1 Ian Burchnall 20/1 Paul Cook 20/1 Colin Bell 25/1 God that list is depressing. Hudson has no experience. Not whats needed right now. Campbell is just laughable. The man has a bigger ego than PH so thats not going to happen. Rowett did nothing at Stoke apart from waste money. Karanka is dull. Adkins is 10 years too late. Stendel/Burchnall don't excite me. Petrescu has had 15 clubs in 14 years. Yeah thats the stability we need...... I kind of get it with Hughton, but its not an inspiring move. Brighton weren't overly bothered when he did leave, and Newcastle/Norwich are half decent records. If we're going for a steady hand, been there done that then fair enough. But i just hope PH has other irons in the fire than the dross that the press/bookies are pushing. I've said it a few times but i'm still firmly in the Van Bronkhorst camp... Surely he can't be any more expensive than what Hughton would be, no doubt cheaper. Just can't see PH being that forward thinking. Yeah agreed. I read that list and yawned. Saying that, Paul Cook could be interesting. MH is a definite no for me as he has been around this failing setup and I don't think he will be dynamic enough.

We should have given it to Hudson until the end of the season and taken our time with recruiting a new manager. Now we are potentially giving it to Hudson to limit damage rather than progress, The time for that was in Jan last year. We need someone in who can develop something for next season, actually improve the players and identify areas we need to strengthen for next season. We look too thin on paper to be considered anything but a bottom half team this year. Ignoring that Hudson wasn't allowed to manage because he didn't have the necessary qualifications

I'd be ecstatic with Hughton - he's way too good for us. If it's big Sol then I'm giving up completely. Incredible player, dreadful manager. Rowett / Atkins probably more realistic. Please show me the stats which show Campbell is a dreadful manager? Fair point - No stats. More the fact he thinks he is "one of the greatest minds in football".
We don't need that sort of ego. That's the (rumoured) reason he was binned from Macclesfield. Yes, he did ok saving them from relegation (in 20 odd games), but that's a complete step-change from what we are dealing with in the Championship. I'm all for giving young, inexperienced managers a chance but I believe what we need right now is someone proven in the Championship dogfight.

we're all speculating on here, but it matters jack shit because Phil and the Board will make their decision. Us supporters can want whoever but at the end of the day the club will appoint who it appoints.
Any movement in the markets today?

Can the new manager bring Mooy back from his loan spell? If so that would be his first move surely.

I wouldn't mind Rowett all that much as a second choice though he does seem ready to up sticks if something apparently better comes along. I wonder if he regrets going to Stoke? It's probably the main blot on his record, he probably didn't realise how much of a mess they were in until he'd settled in. No one since has made them into much of a force either. His record at Burton and Birmingham is sound and did OK at Derby. Didnt seem to want to talk much about our vacancy when he was on the Quest highlights show so maybe he's chucked his hat in the ring?

That being the Aaron Mooy who wanted Greedy League football and wasn't at all keen on playing in the Championship again? Yes, by all means, let's get him back and see how he rips up this league again. Or doesn't.

I wonder what the odds are on a new Giants' manager come season's end? Well I was talking to an ex player last weekend who told me that since Davys missus pegged it he's lost interest and passed on the running to his son in law. Said son in law would rather have them playing in the Championship instead of Super League due to the cost. With the Bulls leaving Odsal and looking for somewhere to build a 5,000 capacity stadium I wonder if they'd consider Brighouse the Giants could ground share with them then 🤔

Didn't he leave because the clubs skint and people started not being paid? That's what I seen Macclesfield fans saying on twitter anyway.. Although he's got a huge ego and I really don't want him at Town he actually did a good job at Macclesfield but people ignore that because he's a c***

can we recall if someone comes to us with an offer for him? No. 😁 If I had a £1 for every time somebody asked if a loan could be cut short, I'd be doing ok. It's not complicated like the offside or handball rules!
