96 97 pages and I for one am no clearer who it will be Let's make it 100 pages before an announcement. The plus side of all this nonsense is that despite everything that's happened over the last year or so, we all still really care and it would only take a few results for our club to be buzzing again. The passion is still there, it's just not being channelled in the right direction at the moment.

Did Cowley do a pre-match conference this week? I still suspect it is someone that is currently out of work. Would Lincoln let Cowley manage the team tomorrow knowing he was leaving? We allowed Siewert to manage against Fulhan knowing he was leaving.

We allowed Siewert to manage against Fulhan knowing he was leaving. And RVLP to play 60 mins knowing he didnt want to play for us I think we all expected VLP to 'show' us what we had been missing, leaving or not, alas a player again let us all down.

We allowed Siewert to manage against Fulhan knowing he was leaving. And RVLP to play 60 mins knowing he didnt want to play for us I think we can admit now that VLP played 60 games knowing he didn't really want to play for us! The one true credit to him was at Hillsborough in that playoff 2nd leg where he literally crawled off the pitch in extra time after tracking back for two hours as demanded by DW.

As much as I’d be thrilled with the Cowley brothers being announced, I just can’t see it. Seen two interviews from Danny and he really doesn’t sound like someone who’s anything but focused on his job at hand with no intentions of leaving currently.
I really hope I’m wrong because of the other candidates been banded about, none of them inspire me whatsoever.

Very much doubt it is the Cowley brothers. Lincoln seems quite a tight knit club and not one person there thinks they're leaving. If they were, word would have got out by now

If it’s fucking Neil Harris I will be absolutely livid.

If it’s Harris I think we’ll have torn up the progress of the last few years. Should have just let Hudson crack on if options were that low.

If they were, word would have got out by now There's a slight bit of concern on their forum after his chances with the bookies went huge odds on tonight. I think we'll know for sure by 1700 tomorrow as it's hard to see the brothers leaving without saying goodbye.

Appointing Harris would be mean going back to dour long-ball football. I suspect some fans would be happy to watch this style of football if it means getting a few results, but I really hope we are a bit more imaginative with our appointment. That said, it appears we are not exactly overwhelmed with lots of options.

Why are we picking someone who is pretty much the opposite of everything we’ve done for the last few years? If it is him it’s braindead.

Millwall forum is going mad.
No shortage of offers to drive him here. They are over the moon with the thought of it. They really don't like him. I always thought they loved him.

Isn't he their top scorer? Think he is. He's done a decent job at Millwall, but I really don't want him at Town. I've watched enough 'hoof and hope' stuff over the years. I really hope we have moved away from appointing that type of manager.

With the players left at Town after quite a comprehensive clear out, I think there's little doubt that the first team squad is better suited to playing a more direct counter-attacking game. We have defensive nouse at the back and in central midfield, as well as pace to burn on the wings. It appears to me that our current strikers deal better with one touch chances over tippy-tappy stuff on the edge of the box. Billing, Mooy, VLP, Lowe and Palmer/Brown are gone and the only player left who fits the possession football mould (Pritchard) is too weak and too slow to play inside (although, IMO he did okay on the left wing in the first couple of games of this season). Town's ballplayers have moved on and the dead ball rules have changed, so it's time to pump the ball up a bit while no longer trying to play out from the back with that ridiculous split central defender calamity inducing shite.

The only thing I can think of that justifies it for them is Lincoln pushing them to leave to take the cash

Personally, I'd rather watch Town trying to actually pass the ball to each other, just in a more effective style, but each to their own...

Prior to DW leading us to the promised land, the only 'footballing' team I had ever enjoyed as a Town fan was half a season of Steve Bruce in 1999.... and how did that turn out? Buxton, Warnock and Jackson were much more effective and I don't remember ever bemoaning goals from Kindon, Boothy and Jon Stead.

Do you know what, we have had shit for 18 months, I do t actually care who we get aslong as it is not the snake that is Hudson. If the new man starts to get us points I am behind him. Give me jose or even Parkinson. If we can start winning games i am happy

I prefer passing football, you prefer the more direct stuff. The reason Steve Bruce's team failed was nothing to do with the style of football. More to do with selling our star player to a direct promotion rival. The brilliant passing football took us to the top of the table. Are you suggesting that team would have done better by reverting to a long ball style? As for footballing Town teams - Lee Clark also had us playing some great passing footie in his first season. Shame he abandoned that successful style just because we got bullied in the play-offs by Millwall.

The latest football Chinese whisper is that we've offered Danny Cowley more money.
Just announce Parkinson already. It's not so much that i'am bored, it's because the new manager could of had nearly two weeks to actually get some ideas to the new team before the massive turn up with their prize wanker.

The Cowley’s were just showing that they fully understand what Town are about....make a grand announcement of your intentions in the press and then do the exact opposite so no one has a clue what’s really going on.
