My mate pointed it out to me that where are all the Police, we did not see any at all. You only have to go back 12/14 years and you would see a dozen mounted Police plus 30/40 for a night natch against Torquay. Stewards cant step in and stop a mass brawl and why would you for £25! a game why there is no Police at a game when there is 20,000+ there is madness.

They were all in the tunnel for the aftermatch brouhaha. I am pleased. Always been over-policed by lazy, useless, brain-dead coppers milking an easy shift and the football fans. I would rather see a mass brawl than know 100 fat cops were on double time and taking the piss. Challenged so many down the years. Scraps all outside the ground yet there were two Bobbies every 40 yards all the way to the station after the match...why?

I noticed at the Premier league games not many Police at most games, but yet on 3 or 4 occasions the armed Police were outside the stadiums.

Strange post.
They could take the piss back then on overtime. Considering Fulham don’t have a firm and they brought hardly anything, it’s a safe game in general.
Post the same after Sheffield Wednesday at home. They’ll all be on overtime galore then

You only need 20 fans to cause mayem, and they looked to have double that. There will be plenty when we play Barnsley Leeds ect but there is always potential for trouble at football matches'

To be honest it’s a valid question and one I mentioned at the game when the idiot was thrown out of the game by the stewards in the corner.

I remember trouble at as an away fan at Craven Cottage in the early 80s There was fans of Town and Fulham on what was then a big open terrace behind the goal.

Some chavvie kids walking to the match from the town centre with glass bottles. One threw one on the floor. I was surprised at the lack of police that are usually there.

It's not just whether the away team has a firm as to whether a match needs a police presence. It was a Friday night and there was a lot of people there who had had a fair few drinks. Walking down to the ground and seeing some knob head kid throw a glass bottle on the floor and seeing him get away scot free cos there wasn't anyone around to police it wasn't right. Maybe matches have been over policed in the past but to not have a single copper anywhere was not right.

Plenty of police in around the town centre, in and out of Wetherspoon's and the Vulcan, everybody happy and getting on with living.

Just saw decent people enjoying themselves with a minority's of little pricks who needed a talking to at the very least.

I followed a few down to the ground who had obviously come from the Magic Rock (they were supping tins of the overpriced grapefruit flavoured shite they sell there) and they were OK for Cockney wankers 😁.

Probably shouldn't have been allowed access to the ground to be fair but as no police were around to see it, they would have got in.

The stewards would prevent access to the ground if it was considered a problem. That's why they're there outside the turn styles.

They're not on the way to the ground as the police were and should still be imo.
