Monday 5th August was a very disappointing day, - England lost a test match to Australia and Town lost at home. I have a funny feeling tomorrow history will repeat itself.

Ordinarily I'd suggest a side that I thought would give us our best chance of winning. So here it is:
Grabara
Kongolo Schindler Stankovic
RVLP Chalobah Hogg Kachunga
Pritchard
Grant Campbell
Subs: Schofield Flo Bockhorn o'Brien R. Brown Koroma Mounie
Mostly though, I don't care who Hudson picks. I don't even mind losing. I just want to see a coherent performance. One where every single player on the pitch understands their role and performs it to the best of their ability.
My prediction? Another utterly spineless performance. Mbenza to spend the whole game hiding in the toilets. Elphick looking like Mark Hudson would now if he hadn't retired. HTFC 0-2 Reading, with Reading never getting out of 2nd gear.

Have a feeling it's going to "click" tomorrow. At times through the season so far we've shown little glimpses of potential. A bit like last season (which in itself is worrying) we're not far off being half-decent.
3-1, Grant, O'Brien and Mounié to score.

5-0 Town - onto a 23 unbeaten match winning streak including a 7-1 thumping of the Dirties having gone 1-0 down at half time Playing a diamond xmas tree formations with a whiff of wingbanks and a false number 9 YOU read it here first Speak English Only when you stop being a tw@t - so I guess not this side of the new century then

God are we in a mess already. What has happened to our club? These players are a disgrace to football and us fans at the minute and I don’t care what anybody says these players couldn’t care less. Ooo we’ve just been battered by Cardiff and haven’t won a game all season but that’s okay let’s go on Instagram and post a load of drivel about how we’ll keep fighting and results will come. 🤣 until every player starts to put in 110% we’ll continue to struggle. There’s a large number of players at current I wouldn’t be bothered if they never played for us again. Hudson said it’s a clean slate for everybody so get back to basics 4-4-2 get mounie upfront with grant and play hoof ball cos all this tippy tappy is working wonders (not). As bad as we’ve been over 18 months all the goals we concede are from our own downfall. I honestly staying in the premier league is the reason we are in this mess. The players started to believe there own hype and a couple of poor transfers windows is coming back to bite us badly. What a shocking squad we’ve ended up with😂 Anyway onwards and upwards is all I can say I beg we beat reading but it’ll Ben another struggle. As bad as things get 3 wins on the spin and you’re back in the mix. UTT There's more chance of a deal being struck with the EU than Town posting 3 wins on the trot at the moment. Well we have only taken 46 league games over our last 3 wins so why not 3 in a row?!

I would love to see 3 at the back but I don't think it will happen. I reckon similar set up to Wednesday. Maybe Mbenza out replaced by either Kachunga or Diakhaby. Let's get behind them whatever!

1st goal is generally important in any game. It's massively important for us today.
I wouldn't be hopeful if we lose a goal early. Equally I wouldn't be hopeful of holding onto a lead either.
It's about character today as much as anything. Let's see if Hudson has improved their mental resilience as it is that which will ultimately be important.

Most of us have lost interest, does it really matter.
1 Hudson will be replaced soon, just playing for pride, 2 he can not just alter the shambles of how we play 3 the players need to do it, certain ones like mbenza should not be near yhe team
I have done my 5 mile run, Got my lucky 3 day grundies on, dont think it will work though.

I’ve been one of the pessimists on here over the last couple of weeks, but the realist in me says we’ve lost to 2 teams alongside us in the PL last year, and the play off finalists, all of whom have spent big and will likely be up there come May. Lincoln we played kids (I need an excuse for how bad it was).
Reading and Luton are different fish. Think we’ll grind out a scrappy 1-0 win. Lose either today or next week and I’ll be getting concerned.

seems a lifetime ago since we beat Reading in that play off final, now here we are again..playing Reading in the Championship.. Yes we've had some fun in the PL, but not much, especially last season..worse, we have a weaker squad of players, no manager, no dean and hardly any money nor many of the PL experienced players who were going to help us 'storm' this league after relegation. We're 2nd bottom and everyone is despondant..how quickly it all ended... and how badly we were let down by the 'decision makers' in the club, decisions that saw us play like a league two side in the PL last season..and we're heading that way unless someone, somewhere can find a glimpse of inspiration to motivate this squad of players. No limits ? Pah !

.. and in the interim since that game we spent £9m + on Mounie who won't play another game for us and they acquired what so far looks like a very good Romanian international striker for €8m who will probably tear us a new one today.

The team as a whole have to be positive and attack together. Just sticking 4 up front doesn't necessarily make us more attacking unless there is urgency from the defenders to move the ball forwards and the midfield need to support in attack.
Its been woeful for so long that no one even bothers to make forward runs now to get in behind thr opposition defence.

We've totally pissed the legacy away what a fucking waste

It's like the premiership was too big for us. We should know our place. Toa Total lack of ambition

I'd be tempted to start with three at the back for this one, Stank, Schindler, Kongolo. Drop Elphick to the bench.
