Why ? False promises. Clearly knows nothing about football, if he did he would have got rid of Siewert at the end of last season. The whole world could see nothing had changed. Now we are in trouble. Unbalanced squad. Best player “loaned out”. Fans had enough. Players no confidence. No manager. Shall I carry on ? He wasn't here at the end of last season.

No improvement to any aspect of the club - record selling shirt, and biggest sponsorship at this level. Again bollocks. Disliked at Southport - Who gives a fuck, they have attendances of 1,000, so probably around 4 people who didn't like him.

SO many things went wrong at Town long before Big Phil became No 1 - signings, Wagner losing nerve/interest, new manager totally wrong choice, wasting of tens of millions of £s, literally, poor football, no goals, losing runs etc etc.
I'm not keen on Hodkinson but I do think certain people who were Gods/heroes for the previous two years should take a hell of a lot of responsibility ( that said, I TOTALLY understand the effect of DH's illness on priorities). That's without even considering the likes of Julian Winter...

Those folk will now have entrenched unwavering views on the bloke, regardless of how the club moves forward under his stewardship. He's been here a few weeks, and deserves a lot more time to acclimatise to his position, and to get the club on the right track.

Feel sorry for him as the club can only ever go backward under his stewardship. He has no money so without major investment we wont grace the premiership again. A managed decline is the best we can hope for?

I'm a bit of a sceptic, but don't think anyone can make serious judgements on his performance as a chairman after 3 league games. Arguably the club has been in a depressing rut for the last 18-20 months now, you can't just click a switch to turn things around after that much sustained losing and the inertia and bad feelings Siewart seemed to bring to the dressing room. As stated he didn't pick Siewart and people would have accused him of being harsh if he had got shut of him as soon as he got his foot through the door.

A managed decline is the best we can hope for? Let’s face it “IF” the stories of he has no money is true then we won’t see the likes of this division again, never mind the premiership. Dean Hoyle had to put in something like £8m a season in the Championship, so PH has no chance.

I'm on board,as long as we win a game today The three points would be welcome, but will it just paper over the cracks for another seven days? This new manager/coach appointment PH will make is going to determine which way this club is about to go imo.

And in regards to the club going backwards. Any more backwards and its league one. Mind you I bet there will be plenty on here that would rather be in league one than the championship anyway. Like last season most wanted to be back down here. How's that working out?

Championship RB of the year 16/17 sold. Best midfielder in the league loaned out. Other quality midfielder sold. 2 left backs who would both be starters let go. Seemingly 2 strikers let go or sold.
And what did we get? A German 4th tier right back to cover 3 players. An over the hill centre half. A young defensive midfielder to replace our best player. A kid from league 2, a kid from non league and a free up front.
That's at Phil's feet.

Can we change his nickname?
Potless Phil is a little jaded.
How about Phil 'the Undertaker' Hodgkinson.
It seems more apt with the direction HTFC is heading.

His managerial appointment will give us a clue to where we all stand tbh. Pull one out the hat then brilliant, bad appointment and you’ll EE the crowds go, the buzz that’s remotely left and any confidence in Phil himself evaporate. It could get very very bad for him. Good luck to the bloke.

But I thought Aaron was absolutely desperate to warm the Brighton bench? I mean what a pull, the Brighton bench for a third relegation battle running with their new untested manager, mouthwatering. Surely that wasn’t total fucking bull shit to make it somehow acceptable to LOAN our best and most influential player on the last day of the window?? The timing was amazing too eh.

Good luck to the bloke. Haven’t bothered to read the latest bull shit but the headline was cheque book managers need not apply, tells us all we need to know doesn’t it. Club strategy is that of some spotty pubescent teenager playing champ manager turning non league strikers into the next Neil Maupay. Cloud cuckoo land. I fully expect the appointment to be utter shyte to match every one from the last 18 months or so.

If you do you’re either Phil’s mum or delusional I was sorry to see Tommy Smith leave, great club captain. Dillusional? Mooy wasn't the best midfielder at the club, let alone the league. Billing is taking everything in his stride at Bournemouth. I can't wait to see him against Citeh. Getting youngsters in is a sound strategy, the wage bill has to be slashed this season or there is no way back for Town, from doing a Bolton. Dean gets his money back and Town begin a 10 year rebuild progress.

He’s inherited a mess to be fair although I don’t think he’s helped himself at all
The lack of spending has seen him get a lot of pelters
The other bad call was not sacking Siewart immediately which was a bit soft/bad call as it was clear JS didn’t have it in him to turn us around. We’re now reaping the seeds of that bad decision with a unfit squad (after a JS preseason) and morale on the floor.
Also who decided we didn’t need a left back because that’s a pretty obvious bad decisions - was it JS who said he could make do or was he told he couldn’t have the money for one?
