I dare anyone to disagree with this. If you do you’re either Phil’s mum or delusional I was sorry to see Tommy Smith leave, great club captain. Dillusional? Mooy wasn't the best midfielder at the club, let alone the league. Billing is taking everything in his stride at Bournemouth. I can't wait to see him against Citeh. Getting youngsters in is a sound strategy, the wage bill has to be slashed this season or there is no way back for Town, from doing a Bolton. Dean gets his money back and Town begin a 10 year rebuild progress. Mooy not the best midfielder at the club???

Absolutely, PH should be getting a break. I’ve said on other threads that to lay all the blame for the current shortcomings is absolute bollocks. How long has he been here? A couple of months? Show’s a basic lack of intelligence if folk aren’t looking at the previous incumbents as to where any blame lies....
Sure, folk can have their views on PH’s first transfer window...... I’d still say though that most of these negative views are made without any understanding of the current requirements and position of the club. Still everyone’s entitled to an opinion....
Folk seem to be blaming him for not sacking JS soon enough. Again, entitled to views but acted after four games. That’s pretty sharpish in my book.......
Anyone who thinks the constant assaults (and threats by all accounts) towards PH will help the current situation is pretty deluded. He’s in the seat, needs to now make a strong managerial appt and he, the new manager and the players (who we have until January) need continued support.
I’m pretty sure that a continued toxic atmosphere will play a significant role in seeing the club struggle further.

I’ll give him a break when his actions match his words
Big questions for Hoyle to answer - why after running a sales process did you call his mate to take over

The owners are not saying anything which is very worrying. And are the directors also speechless ?

And in regards to the club going backwards. Any more backwards and its league one. Mind you I bet there will be plenty on here that would rather be in league one than the championship anyway. Like last season most wanted to be back down here. How's that working out? Dunno, you tell us....Again. The quality of the championship is shite. We should be in or around the top 6 next season, no excuses. A team with Oliver Norwood and Martin Cranie as their main men got promoted.

Dillusional? Mooy wasn't the best midfielder at the club, let alone the league. So you think Billing was better than Mooy. Hmmmmmmmmm. Even if you accept that point (which I don't), Billing had made it abundently clear with his "performances" against Bournemouth & West Ham that he wasn't going to raise a sweat for this club again. So TBH including him in any assessment is odd. All I wonder about when I hear Billing's name mentioned is how much off his fee his unprofessional attitude (aka as being a c***) cost us. Why the F any Town fan would be sticking up for him & his attitude (other than saying he was a decent player) is beyond me. ........... and at the time Mooy was loaned PB had long gone so at the point Mooy was loaned who was a better midfield player at the club?

..... I’d still say though that most of these negative views are made without any understanding of the current requirements and position of the club. But TBF the club are contributing to that situation. The club are not making the position anything like clear and at times (i.e. the Mooy contract) are actively trying to re-write the history they've told us.

That post of Teddys was just one example of quite a few counting their chickens before…..I was never that confident. Even as a so called 'Happy Clapper'.

Reserving total judgment until after appointment of next coach. If he gets it right and brings in a good coach and motivator in the style of a jacko or Buxton then well and good. I suspect tho it will be a cheapskate appointment.

He needs to put his hand in his pocket and spend shit loads of money, and if he doesn't then I'm going to piss & whinge about it.
If he puts his hand in his pocket and spends shit loads of money, then when it all goes tits up (think "doing a Bolton", as opposed to merely "doing a Sunderland"), we'll all be much happier. Won't we?
It's all a bit shit at the moment but I do not envy the role PH has taken on. We're going to have to cut our cloth. I know, it's not exciting. Even so, perhaps give him more than half a dozen games as chairman before writing him off, hurling abuse & sending death threats, eh?

Phil Hodgkinson insists he has the personal wealth to maintain the club’s momentum forged under Dean Hoyle
Appears to be fulfilling that. Sleepwalk to relegation again
What have they spent in transfer window, surely the 11m on mbenza cannot be true. 15m in for billing. appears to be transfer surplus without his personal wealth

In case anyone doesn't read through it all it states that when Derby signed Tom Ince ( before he joined Town ) they made a payment of £700,000 to his mother to reward her for "scouting services" !! This reduced the clubs wage bill to keep them closer to FFP.
