He's taken on a tough gig and was chosen by DH. Give him time to steady the ship. Sick of all the sniping and negativity

You are right Pete. Our current problems regarding recruitment etc are well before Phil’s time and I have no doubts that he wants the club to succeed as that will be a reflection of his stewardship. Yes we re going through difficult times however I have every faith that given time Phil will get in the right people on board with the right skills and attitude in order to get us back on track.

A break? How about "give Phil a tenner". Maybe we can crowdfund our way out of this.

How about the club (which includes Hodgkinson, Winter, Marsh and the players) give the fans a break?

How about the club (which includes Hodgkinson, Winter, Marsh and the players) give the fans a break? Or give the fans a clue as to what’s going on!

Get yourself to the chippy. They say that fish is brain food fish are often like long-game persistent trolls - it's quite appealing to see them getting battered

He's taken on a tough gig and was chosen by DH. Give him time to steady the ship. Sick of all the sniping and negativity I completely agree that PH certainly doesn't deserve abuse and threats but he's not made a great start in creating a favourable impression so far. Yes it's a tough gig but the biggest mistake was not realising the scale of the problem in the summer. There are 2 awful indictments that point to him not being sharp enough. 1 - Full backs.... How on earth we have allowed ourselves to be so weak across the squad is criminal. 2 - Fitness.... Hudson has come out and said we aren't fit enough. Admittedly he has changed the style he wants to play but if Hudson thought this as we were preparing it surely was known more widely? As there were doubts about Siewert's methods surely questions should have been asked. DH was always frank and up front, he was also down to earth, we related to him. PH cannot be DH, and neither should he try but he can be frank and up front. So far his few weeks in charge has raised far more questions than DH did in 10 years! So being abusive is no help but being constructively challenging isn't unreasonable. He's in charge so it's down to him to get us stable and moving in the right direction.

The rot was set in last season, you could see it coming at Christmas last year, to now blame the new chairman who has to try and unravel the mess is a bit daft.
Infact just as the success we enjoyed during our promotion and survival can be attributed to many people, so our demise can be as well.
But, ya know, some folk just need a scapegoat don't they?

I agree with you but how was it that PH didn't spot what was wrong? Was it he was told "not everything is broken" (Julian Winter quote) and took it at face value? PH isn't to blame for what he took on and he can't change easily what he allowed to continue. I'll judge him on the next few months from here, but it's his responsibility to turn it round.

He’s totally to blame for what he’s taken on in the sense that He’s the one who’s bought the club. He’s good friends with SJ & DH so you think he didn’t know what was going on behind the scenes, how much money was needed, how much money we had, which players wanted to leave etc. If he thought he couldn’t do it then he shouldn’t have “bought” the club in the first place. If he thought he could do it on a shoestring budget then he’s delusional. If he’s done it purely to stroke his own inflated ego then he’s a t**t. But IF he has a positive structured plan that he can be honest about with fans then he should rightfully be judged on that. My worry is he doesn’t. You can’t understate how important this managerial appointment is for not only the team but for the image everyone carry’s forward of why PH is here

Yep, some folk blame Wagner, don't they? 😁 He's partly responsible for the current situation, yes. Done folk won't have a bad word said against him though. Odd. There is a broad spectrum of people to blame, Wagner, St Dean, Seiwert, Winter, Rebbe, the players.

He was burnt out, done for, a bit broken and he'd given all that he had got. Ultimately, he came up short in the most demanding circumstances possible. Personally, I don't think he deserves any criticism but I can see where you are coming from. Maybe if he had moved on after THAT night at Chelsea, he would have secured a legacy that no-one would have called into question.

Sure, retrospectively, it probably would have been better, but he did sign a 3-yr contract a couple of weeks after that night at Chelsea, so for my mind, he had obligations. I'm sure the absence of DH over the winter period had a lot to do with things changing. His new chairman at Schalke will also be absent for a few months (albeit in different circumstances): www.theguardian.com/world/2019/aug/07/fc-schalke-football-club-decision-to-clear-chairman-clemens-tonnies-of-racism-condemnedYou've got to laugh, really. Hope he does well at Schalke, nonetheless.

...give Phil a break !! ...listen, he's snookered himself! ...took his cue from Dean and used a cannon on our previous manager, said "Jan, have a rest...a very long-rest !!" ...agreed, he shouldn't baulk at these tough decisions, he should chalk it down to experience ! ...we've pocketed only 1 point from 4 games....but, here's a tip, it could soon be ONE FOR SEVEN !! ...what then???

Why ?
False promises.
Clearly knows nothing about football, if he did he would have got rid of Siewert at the end of last season. The whole world could see nothing had changed.
Now we are in trouble.
Unbalanced squad.
Best player “loaned out”.
Fans had enough.
Players no confidence.
No manager.
Shall I carry on ?
