I really thought O'Brien did well today People forget he's young Grants young too but he's expected to score goals,Chalobah is only 20 and he looks like a seasoned pro,so O'Brien will need to get older as quick as possible,😁 There's a sixteen-years-old scoring goals for Birmingham. If you're good enough, then you're old enough.

Today no one knew what has going to happen, yes it's happy days with a really good manager but today showed that certain players don't care or can't be arse to play for us but Wednesday and west Brom are hard games so next week when we play against them need to show passion and hopefully score a goal so we can go into millwall stoke and hull feeling we can win , I can tell that our first proper match will be millwall if we don't win Christ🤷♂️ but hey ho up the town

Giving a manager time is more than just giving them a fortnight. Wagner took 6 months, and you could see what he was trying to do and didn't have the players at his disposal. The Cowleys are going to need more than just the next fortnight, and if we don't beat West Brom and don't beat Millwall, we have got to stick with them and the team. It took the Great Escape team a good month to even get a point before things started to look up. Even then we were stuck to the bottom for another 6 weeks.
Things are not going to be pretty. Today had some positive signs for me. A bit more battle - particularly from the players who weren't here last season - a bit more resilience until the second went in, a bit more spirit. There was a bit more spring in the step in the warmup, we didn't have to endure players constantly pointing fingers at each other. It's a minor step, but it was a noticeable change in the mentality, at least at first.

I personally would be looking at an option of putting Chalobah in a centre defence pairing with Kongolo, bring Reece Brown into midfield and try that. It would certainly have composure in the back 4 then and a creative head from the back too. Worth a try

Seriously though you did get a feel while they were warming up what the Cowleys are trying to do, the speed of movement, but we are still poor at posing any sort of threat. They will analyse this and learn from it, 4 days is not enough to have much effect. I am sure our fans will stay with them and give them time. It really does look to me like staying up this season is the aim but we will have some tough games to endure this season.

OptaJoe @optajoe 3h 30 - Huddersfield have failed to score more than once in each of their last 30 home games in all competitions – a record number of consecutive games by a Football League Club in all competitions. Starved.

Chalobah was head and shoulders our best player. We don't have anyone else on the same wavelength.
Kongolo played the first half like he was stoned. Magic? Mushrooms maybe.
O'Brien, least of our problems but still don't know what he is.
Campbell didn't have a pre season but looks fitter than some of our players.
Flo...when he just let his winger go past him and didn't follow the run. Abysmal, you'd get hooked off for that at district league level.
All in all they were no better than us, we played ok and should've done better with a couple of chances, switching off and not tracking men cost us the game which is criminal. I can forgive players having a shit touch, but you can't give Bannan 10 yards of space outside our box to pick a cross out. Who was tracking him?
We need an AM as soon as possible.

At the end of the day its still the same old dross that we have seen for the last year. The Cowley's have a huge job to sort it all out, and the important thing is that they get time. Whether they were everyones first choice or not, they need to be given time, and not just the first 10 games. The first problem is to change the way we play, and the culture we have of passing it from keeper to striker with 50 passes in between. Sheff Weds showed exactly how to exploit that plan and then take the chance when it comes at the other end. Decent ball in, players in the right positions, and a header on target, 2 goals. Compared to our numerous balls into the box failing to beat the first man, and only having one player in the box. There is such a small chance that it will fall to our 1 man in the box, and if it finally does they then have to put it in the back of the net, which they arent doing.
I agree with what DC had to say after the game, I think he worded things well, and there clearly is no panic from him. The one thing I will pick him up on is his formation comment. Its not a 4-3-3 we are playing, its either a 4-1-2-3 or sometimes it felt like a 5-2-3. Is Hogg picking his own position and ignoring DC's formation plan? Im not trying to be funny but whose input is it to stick with him in that position in front of the back 4. Has Hudson had input, because surely the Cowleys if they have started from scratch have NOT picked him there. We basically play with 5 defenders and still concede plenty of goals, and we are just losing a body in midfield we DESPERATELY need. Hogg stands in defence passing sideways to the full backs and then back again, and we wonder why we have no options in midfield. He should be fighting in midfield and driving forward making passes to the strikers or wingers rather than the defenders. It slows everything down and makes our attacks sooooo predictable the opposition must be laughing at how easy it is to defend. If the lad cant attack and play attacking piercing balls, or contribute in the goals and assists then pick a midfielder that can. The quicker the Cowleys put their own stamp on the team, and get rid of all the bad habits, traits and garbage that Hudson and Siewart were failing with the quicker we will start winning games or look like winning them.

Possibly the first SWFC fan on here that's not been a bit of a twat, so fair play on that score, however, I'm surprised to see you are "very happy" with Monk, ex Beeston and tarnished with dodgy agent dealings at previous clubs, you would have made up 50% of the crowd tomorrow had we appointed him !! Possibly the first Wednesday fan on here since the night at the cauldron I'll not have that. I've been on here since then. Lol. Anyway, the Owls didn't lose that semi at the Calderon - they lost it at the San Mac. I know, because I was there. But on a serious point, where's all the money gone? Town are minted, surely. Wednesday are treading a very precarious line with regard to Profit and Sustainability, but you should easily be able to assemble a squad strong enough to steer the club away from danger. It all seems very odd to me.

Sit in once unnecessarily, run away rather than going to play where the ball is for the second. De ja vu.
The common denominator is the players.
Lack of care and will.
Effectively we are playing games with 3 maybe 4 players who are simply not good enough for this division.
Tough one to sort for the new management without getting a couple of frees in now.
Another game today that we have watched a boatload of times before.

Hogg drops deeper and deeper every week
Spent half the game playing deeper than each of the centre backs. It doesn’t help us stop conceding and definitely means we’re short in midfield
Can’t understand why nobody sees it during games and isn’t screaming at him to step out ffs

No way they've been two goals better than us this game. Probably the shittest team we've played which doesn't bode well for us Your sour grapes are a shame. Comprehensive performance by Wednesday. Managed the game very well and deserved winners. Town have quality and aren’t necessarily playing as a team... More a group of individuals.

Thought Wednesday were very poor for most of the match. Only looked decent once 2 up and our lads had given up
Its worrying that we've lost to some very average sides so far. I'd be amazed if any of them apart from Fulham finish near to the top six. Might be being a bit harsh on QPR there as they could be a surprise package this season
