May have been, as may have Adkins. But Cowleys probably were too and the list may have been Cowleys, Bowyer and Adkins I that order. We did try and convince him that he could do all his press conferences and team briefings in cockernee rhyming slang, but it was the Saveloy situation that was the deal breaker...

Sounds like he was one we were interested in and we made an enquiry.
Doesn;t mean he was our favourite option or that we offered him the job...just that we enquired.
Bit of a non-story and one hes now milking as best he can as it does him no harm to be 'wanted' by other clubs.
Think pretty much every Town fan would be very happy we got who we did ahead of Bowyer.
