Apologies if this has been covered already but its simply too depressing to go through everything on this board but a really interesting quote here from DC. "Let me tell you now, the moment we're in, and the moment this football club has been in, if we can find a way through this it will be the great achievement of all of our lives and that to me is something that is really exciting." The greatest achievement of their lives for the likes of Schindler & Hogg who got promoted to the Premier league and then stayed there?? If this is actually true then it just goes to underline what a truly woeful team we have at the moment. Whats more - i'm not convinced that hes actually wrong. I think what hes really referring to isn;t the ability he has within the squad, because despite how bad it is right now, we do have a lot of players with ability. IMO its more a psychological thing. We are now something like 4 wins from 59 games. This group must be mentally shot. Theyve forgotten how to win. What its like to win. Just week after week of training, losing, training, losing.. Even if we get in a position to win a game, we invariably blow it. Recoil into ourselves and invite the pressure that leads to the win going out the window. Morale must be on the floor and must have been there for a very long time and as Phil H said in his interview last week, as much as the players knew it was coming and had signed up for it, like any workforce, if you tell them they are taking a 40% wage drop it will be another thing that badly effects morale. Its a time for big characters and not sure we have many at all. Next weeks an enormous game for us.

The sad thing is seeing the kids in the team still fighting while the senior pros are being "woe is me" Take Grant he's had one win in his 8 months at Town but still puts in the graft despite all the losses and now getting asked to play out of position - he just gets his head down and full credit to him O'Brien, Brown and Chalobah also doing themselves no shame in this run - but they can't win games on there own As the Cowley's said people need to look in the mirror and decide if they're a victim or a fighter. This is a real test of these lads character and some are coming short

We had half a year to plan for this season We could easily have got someone in until the end of the season like West Ham did with moyes, stoke with lambert, Swansea with carvalaho etc If such an appointment had clicked great you’d give them an extended contract If they’d flopped then you get the cowleys or whoever in May with a full preseason The timing of DW departure had no real baring - remember he offered to stay until the end of the season but town rushed to bring in siewert Meantime the Cowleys have potentially gone to the Wendies. Sometimes fate means things can work out for the best in the long term. But for whatever reason they didn't fancy the Wednesday job - so regardless of the timing Wednesday was never going to be the job for them I take the point on fate but we're suffering now because of a shambolic preseason which was entrusted to a manager many could see was never go to work out. Throw in that we also can't do any transfers for 4 months and it couldn't be a harder time for a new manager to start a new job

Chalobah plays centre back for his country. Might be an idea to play him there? Flo can bollox. Hopefully Simpson gets signed up soon. Grant is wasted on the left.O'Brien is impressing more as he settles in. Campbell will be a bonus when more match fit. Confidence needs to improve very soon somehow. The Cowleys can get us back on track and especially when we aren't playing forward thinking teams with clever players. No he's not - the front three now has a much better balance with Campbell playing the Firmino role... the front 3 at WBA was the best I've seen this season - in the first half at least....

Just read Danny Cowley’s latest comments re the preparation for the game on Saturday. He comes across really well and he details how they study for set play’s etc. Not been this impressed since reading pre game comments from David Wagner - hope this is a good omen! Have to say I’m starting to feel confident that these two will eventually move us forward.

Love the apron Peaky Cowleys Why do you keep saying “Peaky Cowleys”? They’re from Essex, not Birmingham.

If you ever have a Fans Forum then just go and listen. He just wows everyone with his commitment and attention to detail, but I don't know how many on here have met him yet, but him and his brother are the most humble of men and when you meet them you always feel 10 feet tall afterwards because they make you feel special just for supporting the team.

Peaky was advertised all over WBA ground. I can only assume this has stuck in Nick’s head and is now applying peaky to every other sentence.
