Questions still loom over Josh Marsh's involvement in the past two seasons signings for me... He should be questioned however I still maintain that the Poundland set up we had is what’s to blame. Hopefully that’ll change overtime but the system we had during the PL seasons particularly was appalling.

On a more light hearted note, if we sign Tommy Smith he would be the 3rd Town player I've seen with that name, can anybody beat that ? We've had 3 Billy Smith's and 3 George Richardson's And 3 Useless Bar Stewards - Diakhaby, Mbenza and Sobhi.

surely the buck stops with the chairman? failure of any organisation to do the basics at any level has to be down to those at the very top, in towns case the chairman and the board. Did Dean have an almighty brainfart? We were shockingly unprepared in all departments.

What I've been told is that reece brown completely down tools after cowleys 2nd game in charge. Refused to train to the standard required and is attitude is appalling.

Just shows rank bad our transfer windows have been how the club thought it could go through two windows with no dof and the chairmen, winter, marsh etc dealing with transfers is laughable and it’s cost us big time and wasted what getting to the prem should have meant for the club. Luckily it seems we now have a bloke in cowley who knows what he wants and I’ve confidence he’ll get it right fingers crossed Webb’s decent as I’ve no confidence in the rest.

So that’s 5 players unavailable for selection despite an injury crisis. What is going on at this club!!!! I hope these Cowleys are the real deal cause we’re in a lot of trouble if not.
Complete rebuild required and i hope they don’t think 11 lads who run around a lot are going to cut it.

Complete rebuild required and i hope they don’t think 11 lads who run around a lot are going to cut it. Colours nailed firmly to the mast by the Cowleys. Danny said it was quite emotional the amount of fans who stayed at the end on Saturday, there were loads in the Kilner Bank, and the way they applauded the players who had just lost a home derby. I think the majority of us want players who give their all, both in training and on the pitch, for our club, and if they don't then they are taking up valuable space in our squad. The more O'Briens we have and the fewer Kongolos the better. The message is clear to players looking at joining us and to the academy players looking to make the step up. Bloody marvelous. Andy Booth epitomised that spirit and if we had a squad with his work ethic I for one would be a very happy man.

Totally agree with the sentiment and O’Brien is much more “huddersfield town” than Kongolo but how far can you go with a team full of O’Briens and Hoggs and Kachungas?

We didn't do too bad with a squad full of them 3 years ago.

Has Josh Marsh gone yet? Is he going with Winter rubbish collecting business or is he refusing lol You cant really blame a young, relatively inexperienced employee if the club has been dumb enough to entrust him with a multi million premier league transfer budget. Just smacks of total naivity to me and maybe over confidence. Perhaps after recruiting Weber and Wagner the club thought they'd cracked it and it was easy. The noises coming out of the club when Phil took over was that it was all Wagners fault and they were more than capable of handling recruitment, there's no wonder this summer was as bad with an attitude like that. They saw what Siewert brought to the table yet still persevered and even brought in a new assistant. Pig headed springs to mind. Hopefully they've woken up and smelled the coffee now. With Cowleys and Webb calling the shots hopefully the transfer policy will be massively improved. I genuinely don't think it could be any worse. It looks like Phil has pulled off a master stroke with the managerial appointment, he needed to because we looked dead and buried before they came in and we still have a massive fight to stay in the division.

We had about 5 months to prep for this summer Campbell and Simpson arrived after the window closed so we made 4 permanent signings before the summer transfer window closed - Elphick (free), Bockhorn (about £300k), Brown (about £150k) and Koroma (about £500k) Two (who cost a fee) are now surplus to requirements after 5 months and zero league apperances At least they lasted longer than Colin Bell though! And this after the mistakes made with transfers in 2018 What. A. Shambles. and it was clear to a lot on here that these signings along with Siewert were simply not good enough. It wasn't difficult was it.

Attitude was apparently the reason he ended up in L2 before, more great due diligence from the Town recruitment team. I guess they thought he'd had a personality transplant. I find it so hard to understand how the club went from recruiting top class characters in 2017 to signing the likes of Sibiri, Brown, Kongolo, Sobhi, Diakhaby and Mbenza. Baffling.

According to my info you can add Arron Rowe to the list, been shipped out to Boston as a last chance saloon. The five players named above now have little or no connection to the first team squad, training as a group of leper’s , apparently.

I’m now very fed up to put it politely, with these players with bad attitudes etc. If the stories are true I do hope that there is frantic work going on behind the scenes to make sure we get rid in early January. Who carried out the due diligence on these players ?

Just been told 2 loans already agreed, to start 1st Jan, but maybe coming in earlier to train and brought into the squad.
