It is the club that owes DH the £50m, irrespective of ownership. Take the trouble to read the last set of accounts, it isn't rocket science If DH has retained a 25% stakeholding why aren't we repaying him £37.5m instead of the full £50m? It might not be rocket science but it baffles the s**t out of me. Jesus wept.

How much money have you invested by buying merchandise, food drinks and tickets over the years watching town? Can you put in a request for yours too if we go down? Someone's getting mixed up over investments and purchases. So mr Hoyle didn’t purchase the club?

The 2018/19 accounts are due by 31 March 2020. Until then we have no idea whether the payback to DH (to which he is absolutely entitled) has even started. It could be March 2021 before we find out whether transfer activity in this current season has been impacted by any repayments. It may be years before we find out what the total payment amounts to, and over how many seasons it will be spread. All we know at the moment is that the club will repay most but not all of our debt to him. As for the criticism of DH in this thread, I would be prepared to accept opinions only from individuals who have suffered from a life threatening illness after having invested around £50m of their private fortune in the club. How much money have you invested by buying merchandise, food drinks and tickets over the years watching town? Can you put in a request for yours too if we go down? I see DATM's clown shoes have been passed to you.

No expert, but I expect 'ownership of shares' and 'loans' are seperate entities. The Club is liable for his loans, but the new owners buy his 75% of shares presumably Effectively you buy 75% of the balance sheet. It depends how dean valued the club, if it was gross of his loan (as would be normal practice) he would be entitled to his money, Morally and financially.

One thing I want to know is if DH is taking back money rightly/wrongly that he put in to the club will this effect FFP and what we have to play with No, its purely balance sheet. It may raise a question as to whether we are solvent? thats the directors problem.

I'm really shocked at the lack of rumours at the moment. So far we have: Josh Sims - LW, Southampton Sammie Modicks - AM, Bristol
Is that it?

For what its worth I'm confident we will have a good window of both ins and outs and I hope this time next week we'll be in a better position. I have not seen Maynard so engaged with datm, during previous windows. He also said he wasn’t posting again. I’ m a little concerned. I think I’l wait for Cameo before getting too excited

If all you say it’s an investment and he’s entitled to take his money back but this puts us at a disadvantage and back to square one then how’s that a good thing?

Sad state of affairs really that after 2 seasons in the prem we’ve been that badly mismanaged that it looks like our first signing is a lad from a club in the same league on loan who’s barely featured and done nothing above league 2

I do kind of agree that putting us at a disadvantage is a bad thing if that is what is going on. i suspect getting to the premier league was a blessing and a curse. financial decisions made (such as bonkers purchases) setting us back more than anyone outside those 'in the know' suspect.

Still think they’re better than most for keeping us in the loop and wish folk would stop doubting them on here.

No worries, no not asset stripping, we dont have any Asset stripping is where a company/group of companies that is worth more sold individually than as a whole. In short somebody sees value in an asset where the owner hasn't. In business its not necessarily bad can give longevity to a tired business or tired asset. eg My designer jeans (30 inch waist) no longer fit and are worthless to me but a skinny git may think they are brilliant and give £50. This in football terms means the players are worth more than the club, not our problem . Tends to end badly for football clubs.

If all you say it’s an investment and he’s entitled to take his money back but this puts us at a disadvantage and back to square one then how’s that a good thing? We won't be back at square one. With the PL money we'll have paid DH back, upgraded some stadium facilities and developed Canalside. Our current squad including Mooy and Kongolo among others is also worth much more than the team that beat Reading at Wembley. The more important question for the longer term is whether, if we stay in the Championship, PH can fund the annual shortfall of around £8m, which is how we came to owe DH £50m in the first place.

Well you did say you were not posting again, and you are. I am not sure you can be trusted. I said I was leaving, didn't say never posting again. Big difference. I've left datm quite a few times over the years. Sometimes I need a break from folks like you. The good people of datm are worth coming back for though.
