I can see the argument for a point. I think it will be another tight game. Before the last three matches most Town fans would have greeted a point in each of those games as acceptable if not desirable. But taking 6 points from a possible 9 was more than most would have predicted especially turning over Forest and Blackburn. My gut feel before these games was as follows: Forest - Town win Boro - draw Blackburn - draw. We go into the Stoke match as clear favourites in my view but there wont be much in it.

A great opportunity to lay down a marker and help to banish those fears of relegation.
This will be very difficult game imo, they have a superb squad and have some momentum, we have quality players returning and should have confidence ourselves, hopefully a narrow win, a draw wouldn't be the end of the world. I don't think we can afford to start as slowly as we have at home recently.

The win over Blackburn means that a win isn't as crucial over Stoke but as tough a task as it may be - It is definitely a game in which we should target 3 points - as of right now though, I wouldn't be 'happy' with anything less than 3 points. I fail to see how anyone who has followed Town this season can say our 20th place in the table is a reflection on our ability when the last 17 games have produced 27 points - good for 7th in the division in that timeframe. I expect Stoke to similarly turn the corner and get free of the relegation spots but their plight is a much tougher one than Town. Agree with this - a draw would, however, keep us 7 pts above them. A handy margin. Ours and stoke's 'ability' to claim x amount of points by May due to recent form or the strength of our squad is a football opinion. The fact is now where we both are. There are always the anomalies including the window but 'too good to go down' is usually related to how much the wages bill is and the money is the only thing that is 'too good to go down'. No talk of a draw tommorow unless the game pans out and it's a good result in the end. Winning home games of this kind are about attitude as much as quality, any luck has to start being of our own making in attack, put the ball and the numbers in the right places.?

I may be wrong here, but didn’t Stoke give each fellow Division One Club a loving cup at some time in the past. The idea was that each club would toast in the new year with their opponents.

Not optimistic about this for Stoke We’re really could be anything on the day but more often not away from home we’re poor All the bottom four are away so I’d settle for a draw Gutted I can’t make it I’ll have to settle for Sky COYP

It could be worth a bet though? 🤔😉 We won't go down now, I've seen enough from the Cowleys to see that but you must admit after them first few games you'd had to have us nailed on relegation certainties, we've dodged a bullet. What I will say is, for next season get your 100 notes on promotion, these guys will take us back to the PL. I like this version of Art. Great to see some positive words instead of downbeat ones. I'm not sure about promotion but I think we'd be in the mix for a playoff spot.

Great to see positivity on the poll. Most people thinking we will win for a long time. Hoping for a resounding win in front of a great crowd. I’m going for 3-0 and our further movement up the table.

I sincerely hope you are right with your prediction, I was a little disappointed with Blackburn , I thought they seemed a little off the pace.I am sure Stoke are going to give everything today and going to make life very difficult for us, I will not be too upset by a draw today, a win though would see us move further away from the relegation quicksand.

Sod it, tweet been removed. Basically WYP were welcoming Hull fans to Huddersfield. Inexplicably they were under the impression we were playing Hull. Eh!!?

Makes sense when you realise Nick has recently joined them, expect strange comments regarding Zulu's etc to follow as well.

Win today and it could potentially put us 10 points clear of the bottom 3 and certainly 10 points in front of Stoke, which gives us a very comfortable cushion.

Here's another not very interesting stat. The average 'year of formation' of our last four opponents is 1869 and 3/4. That's some very old clubs. Like I said, not very interesting.
