I'd like to see Bacuna in the Pritchard role I think he could produce some magic in that role.
It would also mean we don't have to watch Pritchard play so it's win win

Was reading an article yesterday that hinted that Rangers had dodged a bullet when they enquired about taking him on loan - the main reason was his salary of £17K per week would upset the dressing room as £17K per month would be the norm up there!

And the point of this post is! A couple actually: 1. To highlight player wage differentials between a huge Scottish team and a Championship team and, even though we all know they are, how off the scale player wages have gone. 2. When people are banging on where’s the money gone and do not take into account player wages, well, with bonuses and any add ins, there’s about £1M right there!!

I’m pleased to see him move on. Probably the most frustrating and selfish egotistical player I have ever watched. That said he would still have been a better option than the likes of High, Vallejo and Holmes. So in that sense I suppose it’s only a good move if we sign a good replacement.

Based on the reported transfer fee a good replacement would be an excellent spot by our management team.

For me it's a shame it didn't work out for Bacuna at Town.
There is a really special talent there. Just a pity none of our managers could get it out of him. I don't think he had a long run in the team in his best position as an attacking 8.
Good luck to the lad

Good luck to the lad Problem with being an attacking 8, you need to have the discipline to cover ground and quickly. I don’t believe he really ever played with that energy unless he felt he had a point to prove. He should do well in Scotland against the weaker teams, but then again he should have been doing well in the Championship. Can’t see him doing it at Paradise, actually glad he’ll be in blue.

£4m reportedly. If true that's a recent wedge for Dean.

Good riddance another waste of space. think that's harsh. he's been frustrating, but as someone else has said... i dont think he has been disruptive or anything. i think its a combination of personal problems, being in crap teams, and not always playing in the right position. probably a bit of naivety, brainfarts and "we're crap so i cant be arsed" mixed in there too, dont get me wrong however, we will likely make a profit on him (was he 2-3m?) and we'd have been in L1 without him last season hope he does well, if only for the sell on

Could be a bit of an Arfield type situation but he needed to leave to get the most out of his talent. Think Rangers could be a great place for him.
Why do we have about 5 different threads about him?

Agreed there, roll em into 1 thread if possible?. Can see how it happens tho, you trawl for a bacuna thread and there's quite a few.

You obviously never saw Andy Payton, then. Manager at the time, Peter Jackson, said at a Q&A much later that Payton was only ever interested in himself. If Town lost, but Payton scored, he was perfectly happy. Jacko couldn't wait to get shut of him.

Payton was a striker - selfish and lazy but knew where the net was. Think he got 19 one season for us and his goals almost certainly kept us up. I also remember that Jackson swapped him for Paul Barnes who was anonymous. I stand by what I said.

Bacuna will thrive at Rangers. Gerrard commands respect naturally and he has managed to turn Morelos (similar erratic and ill-disciplined performances to Bacuna) into a solid reliable pro performing at his best from a guy that used to get sent off multiple times per season
