you're obsessed with the blokes hairHe could be the type that’s hair today - gone tomorrow... perhaps he could have went to Wig-an, or Wy- comb or Crewe- cut it he would I’m sure... however given that he’s gone to Rain-gers (Glasgow weather and all that) I hope the pissing floods from the sky in Scotland’s biggest city doesn’t spoil his Barnet !

One of the main reasons I was happy for him leaving was that I'd not have to read anymore shite about his feckin hair 😆🥱 Is that really the root of the problem? Ive a poor Rangers mate and from the bleachers, he quite likes his hair. My mate is called Dan Druff.

If Bacuna had put as much effort into his football as he did into his hair colour he would be a world beater - sadly he applied his skills to the disaster that is stuck on the top of his skull. Now a forgotten man , playing in a crap league. Will end up playing in Turkey at some point, or the middle east. Final pay day football. Had his chance blew it - close this thread and time to forget "the man who could have been " One of the main reasons I was happy for him leaving was that I'd not have to read anymore shite about his feckin hair 😆🥱 I was happy to see him leave too although I don't think he'll cut it at Rangers.

I had no idea where to put this post as didn’t want to start a new thread. The Rangers connection here with Bacuna was as close as I could get.
Football lost a great Man today, look at the comments from so many greats both still in the game today or from the past.
A man who was successful in his career and carried the utmost respect from all quarters.
Even Celtic fans have been paying their respects such is the class of the Man.
Rest in peace Walter Smith.

I agree wholeheartedly. I was brought up a Catholic and only realised that religion was a nonsense when I was in my 40’s. By definition, I should have hated Walter Smith but he always seemed like a properly decent bloke. And a fucking great coach. RIP Walter.

He was a hard bastard who gained respect and fear in equal measure. I'm sure everyone watching on gazza will be on high alert for a few days as he was a complete mentor

The fact that so many “maverick’s “ like Gazza, McCoist and Ferguson, hold him in such high regard speaks volumes. Superb man manager, the likes of which are now few and far between and a great football man.

Today has been an emotional day... I was in Glasgow last night and drove through Dumbarton today on the way to Cardross crematorium on the Clyde coast to say farewell to a pure fab buddy and Huddersfield Town fan in Stevie Ellis. Huddersfield Town were mentioned a good few times in his cousins eulogy and particularly matches in the 60’s and great away days at Preston, Burnley etc amongst other games. Ok I had the shirt, trousers and tie on along with a HTAFC black zip top and badge. I also took a blue and white to drape over a spare seat in front and this was noted by his cousin after the service and also appreciated by the family. The Huddersfield Town badge was also in both inner pages in the order of service and his son told me he is off to the next chapter in his Town polo shirt, a beautiful send off for a great fella and passionate Town fan.. So after the service and driving back to The West Island, I need to go through part of Helensburgh where Walter Smith stayed, I believe... the 2pm news comes on the radio and his passing was announced, just as I’m driving past the entrance to the town’s golf course - a game I believed he enjoyed immensely in his retirement and also played Loch Lomond and Carrick which I also passed today.. Obviously being in Scotland, I see a bit more of Scottish footy, especially in his formative years at Ibrox before sky tv got involved up here and yes indeed he was a great man manager and motivator who let his team have many a night out on the town but used it to forge a togetherness and team bond that brought much success to the club he grew up supporting. He also played for my local team Dumbarton FC and they’ll be much sadness at The Rock tonight also. He didn’t care about a players religion only his ability and to be honest dragged Rangers and a substantial amount of their fans out of an anti catholic apartheid policy and into the 21st century and was just a good all round family loving genuine guy who didn’t really court publicly or desire a job in the media up here as quite a few ex Gers are on the radio channels up here. The tributes bestowed upon him will be well earned I’d say.... So as a sad day approaches it’s conclusion and I’m now back home a pint of Lager and Lime and two separate whisky’s are poured and getting drank as I write this letter... one for a great Huddy Town fan and friend and gentleman Stevie that I knew and the other to the man they simply called Walter and I didn’t know but leaves a big football legacy in Bonnie Scotland....

Thank you griffa.... aye Stevie was a good West Yorkshire man or maybe I heard West Riding of Yorkshire mentioned by his cousin... left school in Brighouse and worked in a huge carpet factory there, progressed to a weaver before moving to Essex then London with his first missus where he entered hospitality..
He separated and relocated to Scotland after a fantastic holiday there in 1969 and ran Livingston golf club where he met his second wife who I seen today and had 4 boys and then his lovely wee daughter Nicola.
Took over a pub in Lochgilphead called The Comm that I frequented reguralry for an hour on the way home from family visits and I would say there was more chat in there about Huddersfield Town, between 11am and midday every fortnight than there was about Celtic or Rangers or (their local team also) Dumbarton !
He was 74 on the 15th of October and passed away on the next day the 16th... and I’m sorry to lose such a good mate but take good comfort from his good life and that Town gave him a parting win in the Yorkshire Derby v Hull City...

Cheers westislanderterrier, I'm a similiar vintage to Stevie Ellis. Guess the Carpet Company in Brighouse, was Firths, at Baliiff Bridge. The thing that holds us together is our love/obsession of Huddersfield Town1 Was so pleased to be back watching Town this season, first game v Fulham (which was bad enough), my season ticket is in the Kilner Bank Stand. I've sat next to an old lad, probably around the same age as me. So at half time v Fulham, we'd shipped several goals. During the half time HTAFC were paying tribute to Town fans, who had passed away in season 20/21. Much to my surprise my fellow Town fan consoled me by telling me that 'me & thee will soon be featured on the scoreboard.' Bad enough that we were well beaten by Fulham, with my friend reminding me of my mortality. Looking forward to dying in my sleep, at the ripe old age of 150! - very best wishes - UTT.

Scored his first goal in Scotland yesterday (Bacuna) and quite a good goal too taking a touch and blasting in from just outside the box...
Looked happy enough coming off the pitch and blessed himself going towards the tunnel which shouldn’t matter but very much could to the natives of the stadium he now plays his football at - backward wee Scotland in the year 2021 and all that...
Watched the SPFL games on Sportscene there and Gers have had a massive fallout with BBC Scotland and refuse to do interviews, so no opinions on his goal available, but I’d imagine both Bacuna and Steven Gerrard will be happy with that goal for sure...
