Does this mean that Conman? will be able to devote a whole seat to his growler in a flask?
Being serious though, how workable is this, it just isn't when you consider the seat layout etc.
Just getting through the turnstiles would be a challenge.
Would there be another reasonably large-ish spectator sport that would be prepared to act as a guinea pig for the practicalities of this?
Considering that the authorities are all about 'integrity', I wonder how the football 'family' would react if they were to create a position where some of the PL money could be more widely distributed through the pro leagues, such that all clubs could survive a full season of behind closed doors football? Even if that meant us forfeiting parachute payments, or a portion of them. That would prove how much these people are interested in the integrity of the league structure...

I couldn’t watch a full season of behind closed doors. Im struggling with this handful of games.

It's all a load of bollocks really. So far, I've kept paying my daughter's gymnastics fees, my son's and daughter's football subscriptions, my other son's and daughter's swimming club fees and season tickets x 3. Something has to give unless the new norm is actually paying for things you don't actually get. Have you had a litter 😁 Keep Britain Tidy!

I'd rather not go than watch the shit they've been producing in a quarter full ground with no away fans or atmosphere. Added to the fact people may be shielding or worried about covid still, I dont think anyone who wants to go will have to much of a problem. That's only the same as when Turnip and Rich Tea were in charge. More excitement on Stan's Christmas dinner table than what was offered up on the pitch.

If fans are not back this september then the game from top to bottom will fail.
If anyone thinks the top will be allowed to fail they are mad..
Fans will be back, might be masks in the concessions areas but the government will then be simply advising rather than ordering..
Anyone who feels unsafe gets a refund or can decline to attend the rest of us get on..

I didn't renew for next season, I was intending to, but decided to hold off a bit, then it was obvious massive disruption would take place. No plans to jump in soon, if I miss out next season so be it, but a calculated risk I'm willing to take. I'll be back for 21/22 in the old 4th division, subject to availability of course!

After this season, presume we may hit 12000 season tickets. Capacity just shy of 25000 Every season ticket holder could attend and be sat a seat apart from person next to them. Make it sound so easy 🤣🤣 You also have people sat behind you and coughing over you! My guess is that 25% is predicted on also keeping alternate rows empty.

It will only be marginally less horrendous watching games with 5 or 6k there than empty stadiums surely? No atmosphere as all are spread out across the entire stadium and perversely it will be worse for the big clubs as the grounds will feel cavernous. I hope theres a better alternative to that mentioned in the first post.....havent renewed as yet and struggling to raise enthusiasm for it if we end up with 25 - 50% emptiness.....although some would argue we should be used to it!!! Very surreal at the moment....had same seat every year since the stadium opened but may not even have that choice if i renew next time.

this can't work surely ? fans congregating around the stadium before and after the game, dash for the loo's at half time...i guess the food outlets will be closed, and the club shop... after the game how do they manage the exit, can't surely let everyone leave at once ? I've been very careful in avoiding people since March, stayed at home, avoided shops , not been to pub/cafe/restaurant/take out..avoided my kids and grandkids and then only interacted with family 'bubble'...there's no way i'm going to put myself andmy family bubble at risk by mingling with 10,000 'unknowns' who may, or may not have been following the Govt advice..
madness...

No way that we will be in a potentially dull and possible unsafe environment .We have followed the guidelines as requested .I have done a supermarket shop once a week .Not had anyone in our house. Seen our daughter from the bottom of the garden . We renewed early . Are we able to defer monies paid for next season or get a refund . The thought of watching it on ifollow ,when we can get it to behave is something that we can do without .

Not so bad getting into the ground but getting out again. Might have to sit in your seat a while until your number is called to exit the ground.

The other factor of course is how many supporters will actually want to attend matches. I suspect demand for seats will be severely affected by.... ....what will be an utterly tedious experience. Games will be silent with people spread about. Noise happens because of the crowd anonymity.

Fear of Covid indeed. also will they prioitise SC holders who renewed in March Wiil they now only alow 12000 SC's to be sold or 24000 SC's on a lottery basis. If so if selected by lottery and a SC holder can't attend will he/she be able to cancel. And what abour refunds for none attendance. Will there be temperature checks at the ground and what if someone near you is constantly coughing can you move seats. will there be sanitiser points If singing is banned in church is shouting banned at football stadia More like 6000 than 12,000 will be allowed in if the EPL model is followed.

I haven't renewed and if I get balloted out due to my "tardiness" so be it. I don't see any fair way of allocating the capacity available really so what will be, will be. The ST renewal deadline hasn't passed yet so anyone who wants a ST can still get one. After that I guess it will be down to a ballot style system again. Everyone who renews gets an Ifollow pass, then for each match a set number of the ST ticket holders get a ticket. For the next match a different set of ST holders get one etc etc. So if 15000 renew and only 5000 are allowed in, you will see 1 in every 3 matches. Obviously you will have to try and make sure family members get the same match. Then the club will have to decide who sits in which stand as your ST won't get you a specific seat. All gets very messy. I have renewed yet, waiting to see what the situation is for next season. Not massively fussed at this stage of seeing matches in the stadium but like others have said, don't want to lose our seats. I wouldn’t count on iFollow video being available. The broadcasters have said they are reverting to regular coverage and will want to retain the value of the product they have bought. Best case for Town fans is the latter start to the season giving more midweek games, which, assuming we’re a Championship club means they’re available to watch. I believe the clubs are chasing for the earlier return though?

Sure the prem would be fine and probably the champ also but how are league 1 & 2 clubs going to survive a season with massively reduced gate incomes?

Just saying We were shit then n all That's true although at least those shit players appeared to give a toss. I suppose at least watching Town is more 'interesting' than following someone like Everton, that must be unbelievably dull. Even despite our current frustrations into the past 4 seasons we've packed in a wonderful unexpected promotion, and against all odds survival, a humiliating relegation and then a humiliating relegation / nerve-wracking survival*
