After tonight’s results we simply need one win from 2 games to be safe hopefully even the chuckle brothers can manage this, then it’s clear-out time including the managers and get a new team in place BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS I would go for Kenny Jackett from Portsmouth

Kenny Jackett? if we paid money to sack the Cowleys and paid compo to Portsmouth to bring Jackett in, I think we would be stuffed

Fucking hell we can't even score one goal let alone win one bloody match. I'm incredulous and incandescent.

WOW a team that cannot score managed by someone who cannot manage i'm at a loss to understand how anyone would employ Kenny Jackett. We may agree and a lot of the time disagree with what the Cowley's say or don't say but I would prefer them to someone who doesn't speak at all. he simply isn't the "right fit" for us.

All these doom and gloom threads are enough to send anyone to the back of the 'coil oil' for a bit of peace and quiet. For once I am looking forward to that period between seasons when the only chatter on here is about obscure bands that no one ever heard of, pork pies in flasks, garbage tv series and the malfeasance that has taken over the Town center. Even Otiums hordes of Muslim invaders coming over the tops from Wills Mothers is more entertaining than this shite. Please beat WBA and put all this misery to bed. UTT.

I said it before we got the Cowleys and I’ll say it again if they go. Giovanni van Bronkhurst.
As far as players. It’s going to be hard to get rid of any that are on a decent wage unless we give them away for free on the premise the buying club pays all wages. Getting rid of them is one thing but playing them is our choice. See how long they last in the U23s before their demands suddenly lower. But whatever division we’re in there’s only 3/4 players I’d have out of last nights team
GK RB. Reg. Schindler. Toffolo CM. O’Brien. Bacuna RF. CF. LF.
Hopefully players like High, Austerfield, DD and that Everton lad step up with some promise.

SURVIVAL IS IN OUR HANDS AT THE MOMENT , AND I FEEL SURE YOU WILL SEE A TOWN TEAM FIGHTING FOR THEIR LIVES ON FRIDAY V W B A AND AT MILLWALL
NOTICED TEAMS BELOW US PLAY EACH OTHER ON SATURDAY IE HULL V LUTON AND CHARLTON V WIGAN -IE 12 POINTS DEDUCTION
NO DOUBT RELEGATION DECIDERS WILL BE ON THE FINAL DAY
PREDICT BARNSLEY HULL AND LUTON TO GO DOWN MOST LIKELY DECIDED ON BETTER GD

We need an almost complete squad rebuild during a global pandemic where income streams have been decimated, yet people want us to chuck a couple of million down the shitter to sack our manager, regardless of the fact that he might have kept us up after one of the worst starts in the club's history?

IF (big if) we survive, what changes need to be made?
For me, there are multiple layers of problems.
It starts with the ownership and the financing of the club. Between Phil and Dean (and probably others), I want to know where all the premiership money has gone. We were not in a terminal debt position before 17/18 so I find it hard to believe this has been spent in paying off out-of-the-ordinary debts. Obviously wages have increased and there have been some expensive signings, with many of them moved on at a loss. We received roughly £200m in revenues from the Premier League alone. Where has that all gone? That doesn't even account for the parachute payments. If the club isn't run effectively as a business then we are doomed.
The above clearly has an impact on the football side of things. At the start of the season, we sold many good players and, of those we replaced, most were dross. There was a clear emphasis on value for money, free transfers and low wages for kids. Not good enough. This is a tough and highly competitive team. Whoever is managing the team need to build a team to suit their style. Currently, we have a tin pot squad - you'd struggle to pick a first choice XI, or to articulate our identity in any way. I don't blame the managers for this necessarily as they haven't had the opportunities to bring the player's they really want in.
The managerial choices also reflect, in my opinion, very poorly on the owner. Jan should've gone in the off season - he was allowed to stay because he was cheap and there was a cost to sack him. Sacking him after 6 games (despite the poor results) stinks of a panic decision made by an owner worried about championship survival, and, primarily(!) the financial impact of this. I think the Cowley's probably need more time and money to get this right. However, back when they were appointed, there were better options available for the job but who were priced out of the role. Essentially, we looked at the lower leagues and took a punt. Yes, it worked with Wagner but it hasn't really worked since. IF we do decide to part ways with the Cowley's, we need someone with experience. Hughton, Pulis etc spring to mind (there are others) - the football may not be perfect but they understand what it takes to survive and build stability in this league, which is what Huddersfield need. Remember - in 16/17, we were a mid table club at best.
I suppose, what I'm saying is I just want a club that is properly run and with the right appointments in place. Start at the top and work down. If Phil isn't interested in that then he must go - most managers and players will struggle under that regime.

Sorry that’s rubbish 38 games to mould a team NW at Boro like I said ( with the same poor squad) has done it in 6 The Cowley’s are out of their depth and we need to get shut at the end of the season whatever happens otherwise we are in danger of repeating the same mistake as we did this season.

NW did it in six? Sorry THAT'S rubbish. Boro have taken nine points in those six games, the Cowley's took nine points in their first six games, then won their next two games after that too...

You must agree though he's done better for you than Rafa Benitez? Nope, not yet, table-wise both 13th, Bruce on 43 points with a -18 goal difference. Rafa had 45 points last season with -6, so wor Brucie Bonus needs a win from Brighton (A) or Liverpool (H). On a more serious note, the key difference is 13th-17th wasn't good enough for Rafa and he was always pushing to try and ensure we had a budget to compete with those 7th-9th, while Bruce, being the 'Yes-man' that he is, will be drinking champagne come the end of the season, toasting his 'success'. Rinse and repeat next season. 10,000 season ticket holders have turned their backs this season, and now there's a concrete realisation that we are fodder making up the numbers, whereas Benitez was the one last hope the fans had of a bit of differentiation between the bottom 6 or 7, and, with a bit more investment, we could have become a comfortable top half team. I've barely watched our matches these past few weeks and concentrated on other fixtures with more riding on them, which isn't like me at all, and to be honest, I've barely been more disillusioned with the club. So no, with all that in mind, he hasn't 'done better'. Desperate for this takeover to happen.
