It's a no from me. Looking at fixtures, Barnsley down, 2 wins for Luton (one against Hull) making them safe, no more points for Hull, an already promoted Leeds roll over to Charlton on the last day just to send us down. So you would swap form, positions and future games with Luton and Charlton? Boils down to Luton v Blackburn Town v Millwall Barnsley and Hull are gone.

Oh how I wish for just one season of mid table indifference! Dont we all, although our first season in the prem had a fantastic outcome the last three seasons on the whole have been just been one long relegation battle(well last season wasnt even a battle), we dont do mid-table its either a play-off push or at best looking over our shoulders a large part of the season.

I think we might just stay up now.
A sigh of relief and the chance to acknowledge the mistakes of the past two years, get a plan together and move forward with a fresh outlook. Let's hope we can start to look up again.

As I had said before Slapps, you and I on football are miles apart. Why on earth do you think the weakest team we have fielded in 45 years will get 4 points? I will take one and think we would be very lucky to get that. Id only fancy us to win at millwall IF they have already lost all hope of top 6. Just think psychologically it would be very hard for them to get up for that game. Tonights a tough one. They NEED to win so that kind of pressure can really weigh a team down. Longer we can stay in the game, the more jittery they will get. Think theyll take the initiative too, which will help us. Happy to be miles apart tonight Oti.

It's a "job done" season. Avoided relegation with the largest player contracts moved on and now firmly in championship budgets.
This window, next highest contracts out.
Relegation to league one would have destroyed the club. Similar to Sunderland or Bolton.
With covid, who knows what kind of revenue is going to be realized but there should be some bargain players, as clubs face real extinction next season.

Well, I must say, this feels very nice waking up and for the first time in quite a while, having no concerns about our survival in the Championship. We can sit back today and watch from the sidelines. Smug in the fact that the job is done.

We’re going out all day with the grandson to a steam railway, but, really, I would have quite enjoyed just watching the scores from today’s games rolling in.

It’ll be like the last game a couple of season’s ago when we played Arsenal - watch in a calm and measured manner not caring about the score!

Buzzing this morning and will be again when Charlton get thrashed by Wigan and either Hull or Luton win and put Charlton in bottom 3, poor Lee Bowyer he might get what he deserves after all. On a slightly side issue if Wigan end the season more than 12 points above the bottom 3 but the results of their appeal are not known till after the season finishes I assume the points deduction will be next year if the appeal fails?
