Is it that surprising though? I think it's a good move. Just hope the majority of players follow them through the door.

I’m very surprised by that but I don’t feel overly disappointed (which also surprises me!)

"We have a different vision for the way we operate the Club, and how our ambitions can be achieved."
Cowley: look mate, we need a massive clear out and some money invested to be ambitious in this league again. Phil: cya

Had tip offs in the past and not saying it’s 100% gospel but it’s not Hudson and is an already agreed external appointment

Thanks for keeping us up but come on everyone, who really wants to watch their style of football every week?
Fully behind this decision. They didn't seem a good fit for us really

Correct decision. They underperformed. 50 points from 35 games I think. Over a season, play off form almost, even with that dysfunctional lot. Staggering decision!

The bottom line says everything. We already have someone lined up.
Yes we are grateful for them keeping us up, but the football was awful and if they didn't have a plan of how to improve it then I think it's the right call.
Reading between the lines it also appears to me they wanted more control which we didn't want to give them.

Strange decision, can’t decide if it’s the right one.
While I’ve not been a fan of their style and haven’t particularly warmed to them in general, they got us over the line which was the goal this season, especially with the state we were in when they arrived.
Talks of a takeover, perhaps this was subject to our survival and if true, they have their own person in mind?

I guess we can’t judge until we know the plan (assuming there is one) but what a way to reward these guys. They clearly cared and put their heart and soul into it which resonated with the fans, at least me. They were the club this season, not Phil.

I agree with the decision to be fair. Don’t let the victory over West Brom mask the fact that the writing was clearly on the wall in terms the Cowley’s limitations as managers and tacticians. People might point to the fact that they inherited a shit show, I agree, they did but I they’ve still had a squad which is on paper is far better and has far more potential than they’ve shown this season at championship level. Nothing I saw from the Cowley’s gave me any hope that performances could improve going into next season. May seem harsh but it’s absolutely the right thing, providing we install a new manager with tactical acumen and ambition... I won’t hold my breath though!

They didn't seem a good fit for us really I think that’s where I am too. Not a fan of the style of play or shithouse tactics. If that Leeds guy that could have a feel of Wagner again (rather than Siewert) - interesting few months!

Had tip offs in the past and not saying it’s 100% gospel but it’s not Hudson and is an already agreed external appointment I'll stick my neck on the line. It is that Leeds coach, Cobberan. The announcement was meant to be in the morning of the sacking and appointment but leaked. Leeds playing now so won't be announced until later.

If they're not taking applications then I hope we have someone else lined up from outside the club, as we've been shite for 3 years so can't see promoting from within being a good idea Neil Warnock

So we kept giving Jan time Even though he was clearly crap, but the cowleys who’s recruitment in 1 window was as good as anything since wagners first summer get sacked for steadying the ship. Think this a money decision, think they were promised money that Phill has reneged on and they were on £1million per season. Don’t think he can afford them.

I know they were seen within the club as being out of their depth and I think that was plain to see. No wonder top players like Kongolo wouldn’t play for them.

Insanity. Only word for it. Not saying the football was great or that I agreed with every decision, but they did a good job and I was confident of a top half finish next season.
If the club and board have differing opinions, they were obvious from the word go. We changed the structure for them. We now seem, after parting heaven and earth to get them to leave, to have backtracked completely. Why on earth have we parted with so much compensation, so much in wages, changed so much to get away from a system that was making an almighty pig's ear of things, only to go and sack two men who have managed to turn around a failing club on their terms?
Sorry, it's lunacy.
