I’m all for optimism, but bloody hell! Saying he has deeper reserves than the most successful town manager in my lifetime is one hell of a stretch! I realised recently when thinking back to DW going how odd it was after everything he had achieved with the club and the rapport he had with the supporters for him to just go mid-season. He just seemed like a balloon with all the air let out. I know it was a tough time but I think he took the decline very personally and coupled with Dean’s awful illness he just seemed to crumble. I doubt Carlos will have to deal with anything like that but the reason I made the comparison is because I feel it is just a job to him. One he very much wants to succeed at but still a job. DW seemed to have much more invested and I don’t think it helped him at the end. I’d be interested to know how you are able to make this assessment after he has been in the role for all of 24hrs ?

Just gut feel. Probably making a sweeping assessment much too soon. More in hope than knowledge for sure.

Assistant manager at Girona, still in the running for promotion to La Liga. That's good enough for me, shows our club's ambition that we could lure him away.

31 and he’s already an assistant manager in the second tier. Must be some coach that bloke.

Hopefully he may be able to bring one or two rough diamonds our way too. Has been a manager for a season too. Long live El presidente, King Carlos and chief Chico!

If the coaching staff get any younger, then Town will need to provide schooling.

Note he is "head coach" and not named as manager. Steered Angelos Epithemiou to safety in Cyprus so understands the level we function at. Anyway, I am disappointed he is not black, because black football managers lives matter (I am kneeling as I write this). If he is non-binary and transgender (identifying as a toaster or gender-blind) then I will forgive this aberration by the systemic racism that runs through football and our club. If he also "comes out" I will renew my season ticket. Welcome onboard...the circus rolls back in to town. Not entirely sure about the reason for this classless attempt at humour. For me and for many it reaffirms views of you. Views based upon no stereotyping but entirely upon the idiotic, attention seeking drivel you feel constantly necessary.

More "chiefs" to join him soon. Looking forward to see how many "brave" indians follow him. Seriously, he is highly regarded and obviously wants to run his own show. Bungle and Zippy said that... Then Jane got involved.

I did not understand the sacking of the cowleys and I was quite upset by the decision taken by the club.
After listening to Carlos and Mark devlins interviews I'm quite upbeat about next season and understand why Phil did what he did.
I believe next season if the recruitment is right we will really kick on.
I also think that maybe these guys could get 1 of the cast off kongolo Mbenza etc to maybe by into his ideas too

Yes, based on what they did at other clubs, but to what extent, I have no idea. Do I think they had to go if they were fundamentally at odds with the future direction of the club? Yes. Do I think Corberàn will be successful next year? As Devlin openly says, it is a risk. I would say the likelihood is his results will be worse than s Wagner who was lucky with Mooy and better than Siewert who was set up to fail and never stood a chance

Guy could be great, but I feel an announcement should come from the club first He's gonna be an assistant coach at Huddersfield Town. This won't exactly rock the stock market.

Now although I’m sure most will agree on the pace twins that we’ve witnessed there’s is no ability. They’re not footballers. Which is the worst attribute? I fully backed the cowleys as Terence at Bristol was unforgivable. Rinsing the club and not showing the very least expected trait, effort. If he comes back puts a shift in and helps get us back up the table competing then I’ll be happy but he’s still a bad egg regardless and when we needed his talent he didn’t show up this season. Unforgivable on his wage.
