Genuinely how is this board ruined by two people that were un-elected? Its been taken over by tyrannic dictators. You two do a good job, but your not representative of the broad spectrum of the board. Maybe its time to open up the Admin side of things, Ill put my hand up to volunteer, maybe a few more will as well. Can I vote for this bloke please. I've proposed myself and been seconded... that's how the current adminis were elected and therefor i should be in. I look forward to been added to the team in a democratic way. Don't worry folks ill fight your corner, for a free, fair and democratic down at the mac. |

I can’t blame the admins for trying to improve things, but for me it seems a bit clumsy and unnecessary and I don’t think it will be an improvement. I’d prefer just the one locked thread on the main board. However, I’d give admins carte blanche to delete any posts that are clearly off topic.
Unfortunately this forum gets what it deserves, with too many threads going completely off topic. The admins shouldn’t have to waste their time chasing bad posters and deleting bad posts. It’s down to the users to treat each thread properly and keep on topic.

the transfer thread was absolute dogshite throughout but particularly bad recently, had become populated exclusively with people arguing, people moaning about people arguing and not knowing what's going on with transfers. Board was a good idea, easier to have all the rumours in different threads so there's less sidetracking and its easier to access what's going on. I'd have probs missed that photo of Eiting in the airport if it was in the regular thread. then, best of all, the moaners have now headed to this thread to moan about the moaning topic du jour! good work admins imo Yes when we already have a fully workable Moaning Thread running. as nice an idea a moaning thread is, a lot on here who moan do it for attention/interaction I assume they wouldn't get on a moaning thread. it's practically a moaning forum on here most of the time! |

I’m normally all for supporting admins, but on this occasion, I’m really not sure what difference this makes from how the old thread functioned.
What’s more, I don’t think the thread, or the placing of said thread, was the issue: it was perhaps was and is the inhabitants.

What the fuck has happened to this forum? A few years ago we had Geoff in charge, we were premier league. First close season we recruited well, with PotlessPhilInCalifornia and CheeseyDean, the local fan made good admin. Then...a shitshow from the recruitment team. FatGrim and Kenny, the former a failed part-time comedian and entrepreneur, the latter recruited from the lower reaches of the Scottish League 2 forums. Meanwhile we lost Phil to Oakland Raiders FC forum...how low have we fallen as a forum when he would choose fucking Oakland over DATM.? Shambles.
And where has all the money gone? I, like everybody else on here, have been paying my £25 per season to Grim, yeah? Why hasn’t that money been used to improve the Admin Team? I have no proof whatsoever, not even a whiff of anything untoward, but I know 100% that Grim has pocketed it. He’s not The Messiah as some of the gullible fools on here would have us believe. Shamble. Shit show. Joke of a forum etc etc
And now...the transfer thread has been changed without any communication with the forum fan base. I can’t ever remember such a mess. This is the biggest disaster to happen to this forum in my lifetime, and my first posting was a match report from the away fixture at Exeter on a snowy December evening. In 1702. I couldn’t post the report until mid-January as I lost my ticket for KenMargra’s special stagecoach and had to walk home to Batley. (1-5 to Town, Bunn, Stubble, Whackett, Boot and Billy T Fish with the goals)
Anyway, TownRUs or whatever his name is is going to get elected and he will be bringing a Dutch admin into the team as his number 2 (although he does quite a good impersonation of that himself) Apparantly he is down at Canalside having a medical as we shpeak, (info courtesy Nickhudds) I can guarantee that to at least. 98.2%. The future is Orange.
