So by extraction - does that mean thus far he doesnt "deserves every ounce of questioning/criticism he gets"? He deserves no more than Hoyle. thats not an answer.

He looks crap, from watching him training on his own in a field? Who the fucks he spraying that 40yard ball to, bloody shithouse

If he's training down Lepton Highlanders then he's bound to be shit. Seen better pitches in no-mans land ffs.

Who's this Aarons and why is there no thread for him? Hopefully a winger. Sent from my SM-A515F using proboards Aarons is a winger who I believe is contracted to Newcastle,he has been on loan to Wendies and Motherwell,He currently resides next door to my youngest son in Lepton. He {my son} has seen him training by himself in the field adjacent, and "he looks crap" is the veredict so far. To be fair, he can't be expected to save his own shots

He deserves no more than Hoyle. thats not an answer. Yes it is, he's trying to turn around a s*** show created by his predecessor. However selling the amount of players we have (for some decent money) and not showing any intent to bring in some quality on a permanent basis with that cash would deserve criticism.

We can't go into the season with the current goal threat - Ward and Campbell the only two strikers We have 2 goals in 5 games and "Own Goal" is our current top scorer They promised CC the opportunity to build a team Not counting loans this window we've let 9 out; Grant, Mounie, Flo, Sobhi, Bockhorn, Kachunha, Quaner, Coleman, Simpson ... with Kongolo to make it 10 Again not counting loans we've signed 3; Ward, Pepa and Sarr Counting loans we had 6 when we restarted (Lossl, Grabara, King, ESR, Chalobah and Willock) and we now have 2 loans in (Eitling and Perriera). You can argue that Hamer, Mbenza and Diakhaby are back in from loan so at a stretch we're 1 lighter in the loan department than in June (and that was a side that only just stayed up) I hope we end with 3 in today - including a striker. We have three loan spaces so there's surely room to do something here even if it's just until January at which point other clubs might be feeling an economic bite and deals could be had However, I expect we'll only get Aarons If it's only Aarons then excluding loans that would represent 10 out and 4 in ... in no way or shape is that helping CC overhaul the team. CC looks decent but isn't a miracle worker Joint top scorer, OG was also 2nd top scorer for the neighbours on their march to the title last season so we can't knock it 😉

I think Phils a business man, not a football man, unfortunately businessmen tend not to understand football. Will we be well run, profitable even, possibly. Will we ever achieve anything? doubtful. Its almost impossible to run a club as a competitive business when everyone around you is pissing money away in search of a dream. Its like entering a car race in a 1l fiat punto, when the competiton are driving lambos... Your only chance of winning is if everyone else breaks down, or crashes.... every now and again you might have a rain affected race and manage a top 6 spot, but most of the time youll be at the back fighting the fords and vauxhalls.

Im remembering back 4 or 5 years, When it seemed under deano our ambition was to be a stable championship club, a survival club, Powell in the hot-seat and dour football. It seems that we are going back towards that, and with that will come dwindling crowds and loss of interest in the club.
The shining light is CC, but i can see that been a case of we lose him, before we back him.

We have gone back to where we were under Wagner and Webber. We know that financially we aren’t the strongest so are looking to do things a bit differently and create a team that is capable of challenging. It’s a shame that the investment has dropped so much but the club want to make sure they are stable in a difficult time and able to come out of it much stronger than other clubs. It would be nice to have a rich owner to fund the drop of income but we are stuck with one who needs to take money out of the club in order to buy it.

That was also a time when we were competing with teams spending NET £13m (Wednesday and Brighton), £20m (Middlesbrough) and even £30m (Derby). Compare that to this season. It's a much more level playing field.

Rajiv van la Parra, the former Huddersfield winger who is now a free agent, is the latest name to be linked with Reading.
According to Dutch reports, he is wanted by QPR, Swansea and Royals and he is keen for a return to English football.
The 29-year-old’s most recent club was Red Star Belgrade.

We have more transfer threads than new signings.. You make Boris Johnson look organised.. 😡 Not sure why they've persisted with it this long tbh. In theory, its a good idea but simply doesn't work in practice. To keep on top of it you need to be constantly merging similar threads, which they haven't been doing, for whatever reason. Fair play for trying to improve things but lets get back to the way we've always done it.

At the risk of being labelled a 'bed wetter'. This has been a pathetic window by Town. We're now being out competed by practically everyone in this division. Anyone who finds this asset stripping acceptable has no ambition for this football club. Well done, Deano. Its been a good window for you and your accomplice.

If Dean hadn't taken his money back, how do you think things would be different now? Do you think we'd be spending millions on players, and paying them £30k per week? We wouldn't. The club is on an even keel in these uncertain times, and being prudent isn't a bad thing. Come 5pm ish and we have the extra couple of players in and things will look rosier....and if things need tweaking the window opens again in 11 weeks
