First full game and he should be chuffed to bits.
Showed anticipation, composure, athleticism, strength and bravery. Everything you want from a centre half and up against some decent strikers at this level. Very tough position to start out at as a young player in the championship as one mistake and it’s a goal.
Plenty of potential and a great start. Keep it up kid.

And Jackson. And Edmonds-Green.

Thought he was superb tonight, extremely impressive league debut. Looked a championship defender all day long, and a very good one!

What a night for the lad. After some horrible tragedies to deal with, to make your full debut and to win, keep a clean sheet and put in a MoM performance - beyond chuffed for him.

Better than stears, schinds and probably sarr.
Cemented his place surely.

The lad had a great game, but he did get rolled a couple of times which is to be expected against experienced pros. Looks like a quality centre half in the making. Stearman had a decent game alongside him as well.

Early days, but an excellent performance - as good as anyone on the pitch, and better than most.

Stearman had a decent game alongside him as well. As per the early days of Wagner I think the plan for the centre backs is to nick the ball high up the pitch by getting tight on the attacker. Getting rolled is going to be an occupational hazard for the defenders.

Going to be an interesting choice when Schindler and Sarr are fit...

He was excellent. Dealt with two established Championship centre forwards very well.

Going to be an interesting choice when Schindler and Sarr are fit... Could either Sarr or Chritchlow play as the midfield holding player, where Hogg started tonight? That would allow Eiting to play further forward and both would be comfortable dropping back to cover when needed. What is a surprise, we now appear to have loads of left footed players in the squad when it wasn't that long ago we played a team without a single one!

On another day, Hamer brings him down and it's a costly error. However, tiny elements as the lad had a cracking game and looks at ease. Helps having options and players moving for you to play out to as well.

He was excellent. It saddens me to say but I think Schindlers days are numbered. The rest of the team have disappeared around him. We should do what we did with Hefele and let him leave on a free. He has been an amazing player and he needs a fresh start.

This is the plan, to introduce players from the academy/B team. Otherwise what's the point of it. We aen't a Chelsea/Man City etc who can hoover up players and loan them out forever and a day, never make an appearance then sell them for millions cos they "played" for so and so

I agree he was excellent and I hope he establishes himself.
But didn't we say the same about Jaden Brown after his first few appearances, and who has since been written off by many.

The issue he may have is if the coach feels we lack height. Crichlow is just 6' but Sarr is 6' 5", and very experienced. He did himself a lot of good tonight though. Forest may be on a bad run but they have a lot of very good players and he looked very capable against them.
