Abit late to the party, but fee 8.75M, which basically covers the remaining installments to Monaco, along with a sell on. Good deal for town as it stands today, good deal for utd. Probably more than most expected, but could easily go for 50M if he learns to defend the inside space.
Good luck terrance, shame its ended this way as you could have been a town legend. But still part of many happy memories.

I struggle to remember just how good he was in that loan spell because his impressions of a district league player being thrown in to the Championship at left back are too recent a memory. If he can get back to 2018 form then he will be a bargain at 8 million |

Makes me laugh how folk love a player, totally over the top. Sometimes before they’ve even seen them play. When they want to play for us.
Then all of a sudden they are shit cause they want to play for a team better than ours. Kongolo is a brilliant player, i don’t care what Cowley thought, better by miles than any player he’d managed before and easily worth the money we paid for him.
Just like many players in this recent period we managed to half his value shouting out mouths off trying to look all “hard”.

The laughable position we’ve put ourselves means we just need to get rid. Even ill admit the Fulham loan was very unlucky and could have worked out. I’ll be Surprised if United get him if he doesn’t win player of the season. |

Tbh Terry k is probably the 2nd best player I’ve ever seen in a town shirt.. Nobody will ever rival the pale pirlo.. On pure ability.. He has the physicality to play in a top 6 team.. I used to love the “kongolo special “ When he would wipe out man and ball and get away with it..😂😂 But .. Ultimately he shit on us.. Classic example of the modern footballer And I can’t forgive him for that.. God willing a thousand camel flies will invade his arsehole and infect his nipper off.. 💩 |

Sheff Utd splashing a small fortune in their case for Brewster, makes me think they may look at cheaper options than Kongolo. They clearly need a left footed CB with O’Connell out but it’s a big risk to then replace it with a player who’s still injured and not had any minutes for 6 months or so.
Fingers crossed as let’s face it Kongolo is a talented player, there’s a reason he’s our record signing and no fan muttered at the fee, at the time. Unfortunately, we’ve not seen his best for a long time as he had no ambition to be playing Championship, particularly in a team that struggled in it.

At the time worth the money and his loan was the the reason we stayed up in season 1 in my opinion but can’t forgive a player for downing tools whatever the reason (although The Cowleys did seem to rub a few up the wrong way)

I've said it a fair bit but what Cowley said after Bristol was ridiculous. Saying he couldn't play left-back because he cant defend the inside space was utter bollocks. He managed it in the prem and as you say is a far, far better player than anyone Cowley had coached in previous jobs. It was certainly 1 way to get a player pissed off very quickly. |

When he really excelled was in a back 3 at Man City and Chelsea. I think those performances were the reason we got him full time and Eric Durm, for 5 at the back. I think Wagner had his eye on a bigger job and wanted to impress when playing better teams not just beating the bad ones. Makes the Diabenza signings even more puzzling. We needed one top attacker, that was it. |
