Is this a desperate attempt by the board to curry favour after the debacle of deadline day? He doesn’t seem to have a great background or play in an area we are particularly short in. I’ll reserve judgement. I do love how it’s got the sheep chewing a bit faster though Ffs |

Carlos has explained why he wants him here and how he will fit into his plans (see his comments on Town Website) so surely that is enough to satisfy us. The fact we didn't buy him (or someone else) for a shed load of money on deadline day is irrelevant. If CC believes he is ideal for the way we want to play then that's the way it is.

I think it's a sensible signing. These three match weeks will take their toll. It's precisely the role we utilised the likes of Malone, Holmes-Dennis & Cranie for in the promotion season. Nit good enough to be regular starters but useful when you need to rotate. Wagner used to make 6 or 7 changes for 3 match weeks and we have more than ever of those. Starting now.

I think he is cover for Hogg who will have to play a lot of games as he seems to have that position to himself. He is also bound to pick up at least one suspension. Scott High is on loan until Jan when he might start to become part of the first team squad. This lad, at 6' 3", gives us some height at the back of midfield as well. I'd still like to see Josh Austerfield get a first team appearance after his performance in the friendlies |

Don’t know anything about him but think it makes sense. Hogg has very little competition and Will get suspended or injured at some point. This guy may be a better version of Hogg for all I know.

I'd still like to see Josh Austerfield get a first team appearance after his performance in the friendlies I guess what this signing does tell us is that Carlos has seen enough of Austerfield and Jackson to know that right now they aren't quite ready and so is filling that part of his squad with Vallejo instead. Hopefully the young lads will still get some minutes to keep up their development. |

Happy that we've added another option to the #6 position. We've got depth in all defensive and midfield areas now, just short of one or two wide attackers for me - maybe we can find another free agent or sign Aarons in January.
Is Vallejo the one who has been training with the team?

Whilst we’re at it, can admins ban any moron using the word “potless” in relation to PH and anyone using the word potless as part of their author name. Would go some way to improving the atmosphere on here. FTR - when I was calling myself "Tinpot und Potless" it was intended as a term of endearment & support. The guy has made mistakes - no doubt about it - but he's taken on a club that was in a difficult situation even before Covid & taken a brave decision to sack Cowleys & bring in CC. So far - as harsh as the sacking may have been - that looks to be the correct decision. It's a difficult job at the best of times with people far more willing to condemn you for the things that they perceive to have gone wrong than give credit for what went right. |

That was my rationale when I posted it here but I am not certain that I know the parameters of what should be posted on that board. Maybe that board should be renamed transfer rumors and deals. There could be some type of icon or different color for done deals. |
