First (and possibly only) team to score 6 away and lose? No idea on this one. Total set of losers whoever they were

Ian dunn was the first player in British football to score a golden goal, v Lincoln city in an autoglass trophy match in 1994, we won 3-2....some of you will probably know that though. I was at that game but didn't realise its significance at the time. Yes same here, he got a commemorative shield for it at the time.

To be fair if you look at it on google maps it is further west than Bristol though... To be fair...it doesn't, it shows Britain in its upright position not with its westerly tilt. Standard maps and atlases show Britain in a upright position with Edinburgh to the eastern side of Scotland. If I look at google maps on my phone then Edinburgh is definitely further west. Like I said before.

There will always be errors whichever projection you use.

Four teams amongst the 92 whose names start and end with the same letter. Used to be 5 until York City left us.

The thing I don’t get about this thread is that it’s so easy to look up the answers. Surely that removes the challenge of answering the question?

In May 2012 a football player unwittingly prevented a crime when a wayward shot sent the ball hurtling hundreds of feet on to a nearby street, hit the would be crook on the head and knocked him clean out as he was attempting to rob an old dear of her handbag. Steve Simonsen, thank you.

So the earth's not flat? Funny. About a year ago we had "flat earth" graffiti all over bridges and buildings in Scotland. Still no idea what all that was about.
