Big team home or away, live on TV. Then we can concentrate on the league. Agreed, we are only 5 points off play offs, so concentration may be required. Mind you, had we lost yesterday we would have been 5 pts off relegation spot.... fine margins?Still early days.

And a sobering stat to keep us worrying until January 9th... Town are on a run of six straight (FA and FL) Cup defeats without even scoring, and four of those have come against lower League opposition; criminal. So, be careful what you wish for... #littlerayofsunshine

An away tie at either Blackpool or Morecambe would have been nice, alas this crummy virus has put a hold on all our Town like fun.

I genuinely think they could go out of the league with McCall in charge. He's bloody clueless. Yes. Think he might be sacked for the 6th time. They can use the same template letter and just change the date. In one of the most bizarre decisions of all time, I believe he has just "earned" a contract extension

I think with all the midweek games coming up,it’s vital that the squad is as fresh as possible. It showed quite clearly today the difference it can make, particularly at the end of games. So to go out in the first round and hope there’s a decent stream to watch it for nowt. My opinion FWIW Just to be clear, you will be supporting our opponents in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup? You do not want us to win the match? You will cheer if we concede and moan if we score? I’d take it even further. If the travel and accomodation costs are greater than the fine I wouldn’t bother turning up.If the fine is massive, then give the U19 a run out. Remain inconsistent - mid table More consistent - play offs ? Less consistent - relegation ? It could go any way this season. I want the second option,so we might get into the playoffs. Which option do you want, bearing in mind that a long cup run could result in injuries, suspensions and fatigue ?

To be honest, the middle option of play offs is absolutely ludicrous, you know that as well as everyone else on this board. I remain of the mind to be looking over our shoulder, if in January a major investment is made in the squad then we can look towards the play offs but mid table and a decent cup run is the order of the day but then again, it's unlikely the fans would get to enjoy a cup run properly.

I feel like I already know that we won't go up and we won't go down. To me this is the one season where we should actually have a go in the Cup. It would certainly make a bloody change.

Stockport at home. A team we had many a battle with in the "good old days" sometimes on the end of a beating. How things change.

This will be our year, Probably beat Spur away, Manure at home, beat the lowest ranked team left in the comp and get to the quarter finals for the first time in 50 odd years, And nobody will be allowed in the stadiums to watch any of the games, bloody typical.

Don’t want a lowly ranked team for the simple reason that a ‘shock’ defeat could have a negative impact on momentum and morale. I’d much rather have bottom half prem or championship team so we can have a go and use it as a free hit. As someone else has pointed out it’ll probably be Reading away.

Didn’t BBC stream 3 games yesterday, one being Bradford v Oldham and another Cheltenham v Crewe? Why bother showing 2 all league ties. If Sheff U draw Fulham they’d show that over a non league side v a Championship side. The FA Cup might as well be scrapped these days

Never mind who anyone wants to play, who does everyone think we'll be drawn against?
My money is on an away draw against a team from miles away like Bournemouth, Cardiff, Millwall or Norwich. An absolute nothing tie that we'll inevitably lose 2 or 3 nil.

Apologies if I’ve missed it but what time is the draw tonight? 7pm. BBC 1. That's just when the One Show starts, the recap of Round 2 and talking to the people doing the draw about their memories of the FA Cup starts at 7.10 so the draw itself won't actually get underway until at least 7.15, if not 7.20.
