Needs to match Campbells work rates though, he's been key this season with his tireless work rate. With a goalscoring record of 4 in 37 games he's already part way to matching Campbell's rates In fairness I think a lot of those were off the subs bench. He may be more of an Mbenza/Koroma type player than an out and out striker, if we actually go for him.

He’s not exactly getting the best reviews from their fan base. A couple of the old ‘ eu levaria Lincoln pessoalmente ao aeroporto’ being chucked in. (I would personally take Lincoln to the airport) I wonder what Down At The Mac is in Portuguese?

Towns official FB page has a Xmas advert for pyjamas, 2 Flamengo fans have commented on it telling us how great he is and how we should sign him, they're that genuine and believable in their praise that Town fans are telling them to sign Pritchard and Diakhaby as they are also the best in this country in their positions 🤣🤣🤣

The comments from their fans really concerns me. The last time I read such comments was when we signed Diakhaby 👀

The last time I read such comments was when we signed Diakhaby 👀 Think he fell out with ceo or something as he missed a big chance in a game and was blamed for them not winning the cup or something but mental that South American support you aren’t shit if you play for Brazil u20s and have 50 odd appearances at 20 for one of the biggest clubs in Brazil

For me we are short on players up front and looks well worth the risk and would certainly add some excitement for the fans at least for a short while get on with it Town.

From the Unexamined
Globo Esporte further indicate that Town are yet to submit a formal offer for either for either Yuri or Lincoln, and that Town would face competition from MLS side FC Cincinnati and Dinamo Kiev if they were to pursue a deal for the latter.

If we take him on loan at little cost it may make sense. In the last 12 - 18 months we have signed some really good players permanently and on loan (Pipa, Toffolo, Eiting, Smith Rowe), and developed one who could become very good (Koroma). The scouting team seem to be doing OK all of a sudden.
However, moving from S. America to another country at such a young age is not without it's risks. I wouldn't expect miracles.

If it is the 18 month loan wouldn’t expect too much this season mainly bedding in to the championship and living here as well as how Carlos works and what he expects. Then look to really make an impact next season.

Caveat being it's a highlights reel but what appears promising is three elements, 2 of which I'd say we lack at the moment.
1. He appears very capable in and around the 6 yard box. Too often we have seen Mbenza or Toff put in decent balls across the area in this range with no one on the end of them
2. He appears to make sensible decisions when offloading the ball
3. He appears to have good, quick feet in a tight spot.
Basically, he appears to be everything Diakhaby isn't.
And I jnow I;ve used the word "appears" 5 times (6 now) but it is a highlights reel. Need to bear that in mind.

So..... on another tack, having signed The Spanish Bockhorn this season, we are doubling up with buying the new Diego Poyet as well.

Needs to match Campbells work rates though, he's been key this season with his tireless work rate. Again, going off the video he looks a similar type. Dropping deep. Not afraid to get stuck in and draws fouls well. Campbell is an odd one for me. Yes he works very hard, but his goals ratio should be better he also gives away ridiculous free kicks too often. Not defending his goal record, but I think he is much improved this season on the "giving away ridiculous free kicks" front. This is both evident from watching games and also number of bookings picked up: 8 from 34 appearances last season 2 from 20 this season.

It also appears that nobody celebrates with him when he scores. who gives a fuc as long as he scores 🙄 That is something I look for. A squad which has a tight bond and togetherness can punch above the weight of the individuals. I think it is often a reflection of the player's character, and as well as celebrating with them when they do well it is the support they get when they aren't which is more important. Quite a big one for me.

I don't mind a single minded selfish striker as long as they deliver. It's arguably the only position where that is sometimes an asset.
