Rhodes is a striker that you can throw on for the last 30 in a game and would probably worry a back 4. We’ve not many of them currently Depedns which back four you're referring to. He's scored two against Cardiff & Barnsley this season & also scored against Bournemouth & Norwich so he's still capable of scoring against the better sides in the division. |

Take out Reece Brown, imagine he will remain at Posh. Fully expect O'Brian to go, and possibly Toffolo. That leaves 12 players, plus some kids. Barely enought to fill a matchday squad. Massive summer ahead. |

players that need to walk straight in to the first team as a minimum:-
Goalkeeper
Centerback
Striker
Could also require fullbacks if the club get GOOD money for the ones we have and an additional midfielder as O'Brian is expected to leave.
Plus many more to make up a full squad

To even think of losing the best 3 players is ridiculous. Town should be building a side around these 3 to challenge (at least) for the play offs.
How can we progress if we're selling our best players? If necessary we should pay them more and bring in the quality required to aim for the
Premiership - that's what Webber would be doing. There are too many many defeatist posters on here who are lacking in ambition, and at the moment,
the donkeys running the Club appear to be tarred with this brush. If they can't get off their arses and show some leadership, then we're sunk!

If any of these guys are sold and not replaced with someone substantial then we are officially a club that self abuses.
We have a huge list of players that are potentially (and rightly) off. This will alleviate our wage bill and with our extremely conservative spending this season I expect...
Nothing. And I'll still be disappointed.
I'm assuming Eiting and Rhodes are two of the potential signings that have been mooted

Lots of work to be done & by the sounds of things 4 players are already signed.
We need a couple of GKs, Macgillivray at Portsmouth or Ruddy who'll be a free agent in the summer would both be solid additions.
At CB we will need 2 or 3 presuming Schindler, Stearman & Keogh won't be here. One player I'd definitely have back is Stankovic although I doubt we could afford him now. Dominic Hyam at Coventry looks solid & could be a free agent if they don't trigger his extension, although I suspect they will.
We need a pair of wing backs to provide solid cover/competition for Pipa & Toff. League 1 have some decent players in those positions that shouldn't cost the earth. Guiness-Walker, Sanderson & O'Nien? Sanderson was obviously loaned from the Premier league but has had a good season at Sunderland.
Midfield is an area that needs looking at although I'd look to extend Vallejo's contract & try sign Eiting permanently but maybe someone like Tommy Doyle at Man city on loan?
RW needs looking at especially if they don't trigger Mbenza’s extension, although if they do I think it'll be to try get a fee for him. Berko from 2.bundesliga was strongly linked not too long ago but I know very little about him tbf. Maybe a premier league loan?

The only problem with all this is we still will have Bromby dealing with potential signings etc, so what is going to change? Also is Carlos up to the job, because going by the second half of the season this mess is just not down to the players, because his tactic have been abysmal to say the least. |

I can't say I'd be particularly happy if he signs but given a run of games I'm sure he'll score more than all our current strikers combined have this season. He's bagged as many as Campbell in half the amount of minutes for Wednesday. Not great but still an upgrade on what we currently have. I don't think he'll be the only striker we bring in either. |
