I nominate Otium, in the interests of Balance. Doubt anyone on here's been exiled more times than our Oti. From what I read before largely scrolling past the bulk of his output some years back I doubt anyone has been more given benefit of doubt and let off when they should really have taken a 'holiday' from the board tbh. |

Nice to have a win anyway but how many new threads did we have within 10 mins of the final whistle last time out raking over the same old stuff. And a surprising amount of new posters who’ve watched Town for 50 years only to log on in 2021 to tell us that this is the absolute nadir.

Can I respectfully request that anyone who puts "I am firm but fair' in their application, have their nuts kicked off in public.?
I have never met anyone in 50 years plus who after saying this actually was and to a man/woman they were wankers with less balance than a big fat bloke on a see saw.
I'd do it but the stuff I would let go without turning a hair would be unacceptable today.

We've only had one application. Can't think why. Ken and I have talked and don't want to simply appoint someone by default. We'll leave the applications open indefinitely until we have a shortlist.

Thanks for all those that have applied. Although we wanted to give this just one week (we don't want it to drag on like a party leadership election), and although all who have applied so far are eminently suitable, we are going to extend the deadline to 1200 hrs Friday 26 Feb. The reason is that some have expressed an interest and are maybe still thinking about it.
I'm hoping that we will have a new admin in place sometime next week. With so many suitable people, our task in choosing someone won't be easy.

Well i'm prepared to wait and i'm sure there are a significant number of other posters who feel the same way Could we bring in abit of a older, past it admin, short contract, low wages, dubious driving record to fill in on a 6 month stint till we can get "our man" in situ? It could be said admins final hurrah and go out on Grant Holt type form whilst leaving us with great memories but knowing all along he was just keeping the seat warm for the chosen one? |
