I passed the exam, was sent the form to pay and it was £25, i did not join....i laughed If i said i did that was an untruth. I was never a member as i recall. "I would never join a club who wants me as a member"....Groucho Marx. The only clubs i ever joined were the Tufty club, Huddersfield Town Supporters Club, The Noise Abatement Society and Population Matters for the most important things in life are road safety (and being kind to Mummy), football, noise pollution and too many flaming little people like you. Funny, because in 2013 you claimed to be a former member of Mensa!! Probably still got the paperwork showing the result which i recall was 133. Sorry about all the lies, i am not really in a 6 star with private butler (its a cardboard box in an electricity sub-station), i did not win 5 grand at the weekend (my last £5 went on skag) and my ex-model 32 year old girlfriend is actually a fat 50 year old Aldi till supervisor. Ever thought about looking in the mirror instead of trolling or are the tears too salty for you? What a worm. |

Funny thing about Mensa tests is they test how good you are at Mensa tests AND NOTHING ELSE. In the early/mid 1980's, I along with a few other's from my school (can't remember if there were others there too) at something like age 13 or 14, had what I think was 3 days out at Holly Bank teacher training place (used to be a multi storey building slightly uphill from the Cavalry Arms at Birchencliffe - housing estate now). I think the point of us being there was to provide a bit of classroom experience to new teachers - they did a bit of (actual) black-board lecturing, a bit of learning through questioning, a bit of 1-to-1 wandering round type stuff, and gave us little tests across the day - finishing up with an exam conditioned IQ test (I VAGUELY recall we'd done a shorter one at the start to benchmark). At least 3/4 of us exceeded a 130 score...putting us in the theoretical top 1 or 2 % for intelligence, clearly not the case for a bunch of young and pretty average teens - simply because we'd got tuned in to 'being good at Mensa tests'. Ever since then I've rolled my eyes at anyone flag poling IQ scores or Mensa or 'intelligence'. I did join the Tufty Club though. The Mensa test is one hour and far more thorough than a simple IQ test. Have a proper go. Dont ever underestimate intelligence. Religious people tend to be lower, so do poor people, fat people, stupid people and brain damaged people. Intelligence takes to a long way, being dumb can never get you far at all. High intelligence and being born a man are the best two starts you can get in life apart from immediately sucking on your own mummys tit. |

Why on earth would someone at one point claim to be in Mensa, at another point claim never to have been in Mensa, and and at another point claim that they used to be in Mensa, if what they were saying had the vaguest hint of truth to it? You probably wouldn't pass a dementia test, let alone a Mensa test! |

I cannot understand a lot of the animosity towards Oti, I disagree with the man on a political level but I don't have to continually belittle the man. Some on this forum seem to revel in dissing most of the guys posts , quite frankly I feel some posters are just a little sad. No one sadder than old Walter Mittium himself. He wouldn’t attract even a fraction of this attention if he didn’t keep churning out his fantasist bullshit. But then, it’s this attention that he thrives on. Yep. This is just another thread, to add to the many, which has resulted in Otium being the subject. Shame coming on here three of four times a day and seeing so many threads that are heavily influenced by one poster. But, as you say, what’s what he wants and that’s what he’s got. Good luck to him. Just makes for a very tedious read on here most days. |
