This is an embarrassing signing.

Is our scouting software five plus years out of date? Ward, Holmes, Keogh, Morrison...
I can see Bromby/Marsh clicking the 'Remind Me Later' button continuously when prompted to update it.

"Smacks of desperation"
As long as it's a short term deal until the end of the season I'll take it. It's a gamble, but we're at the stage now where if we don't gamble then we're going down anyway. It's not like he's going to make us worse, is it?

Obviously a gamble but the worst thing that can happen is he doesn't play much and it doesn't work out. I don't he's costing a fortune so keeping expectations low is probably the way forward and if he's grown up a bit and realised he needs to knuckle down then brilliant because as a talent he could keep us in the division almost single handedly.
I don't see it as desperate and he's hardly going to derail our form. A player with his quality wouldn't sign for us if there wasn't question marks against him elsewhere, it's a gamble but not a huge one.

Won’t be involved tomorrow but hearing it’s pretty much done

Your guess as good as mine - not sure if it's signed sealed delivered and FA approved, knowing Huddersfield Town we'll of missed that deadline by 3 minutes or something

The press will have a field day if he’s with us for Tuesday at Derby.
“First he stole Rooney’s boots and now he’s just stolen the 3 points for Huddersfield” is a line which will no doubt never be written!

More skill than Pritchard - just need to keep him mentally right for a few weeks - and even if he isn't he's no worse than the little fella

that's instantly an improvement over Holmes Not based on those highlights he isn't. Its so bad that they had to show the same clip of him slipping on his arse as he was about to shoot, three times. Holmes' highlights real was far more impressive. If we're basing our recruitment decisions on highlights reels then its no wonder we have so many flops.

Or 'Another criminal decision by Ravel as he comes to terms with joining a Huddersfield side demolished by Derby'

Actually playing with 10 men would be an improvement over Holmes in the last couple of matches

If we're basing our recruitment on highlights videos, this guy looks absolute class:
In the case of Ravel Morrison, I think highlights reels are probably even less useful guide than normal. Anyone doubting that the lad has talent is an idiot - he has it in spades. Alex Ferguson felt he was one of the best he'd ever seen, Lazio felt he had the talent to succeed there. It's whether he can deal with whatever goes on in his head that's the issue.

Morrison is surely 2021’s Puncheon. Sad to say if he comes in it’s another nail in the coffin. I don't think so. Ravel Morrison is a gamble that will probably fail. Puncheon was inexplicable signing that was destined to fail.

It’s obviously a gamble, the number of games (he hasn’t) played in the last 10 years confirm that, which got me thinking if he comes in and does a Mel Eves or Peter Ndlovu, then happy days, although it’s worth remembering despite Ndlovu’s best efforts we still got relegated the same season.
I’m sure there will be lots of wildly varying opinion on him, if he does join,I wonder what’s the yardstick for a player that has signed, Danny Ward, he split opinion when here last time and did so even more when he was rumoured to be rejoining. I’m sure even his biggest fan would agree that so far his homecoming hasn’t gone according to plan, although many will tell you it’s gone exactly as expected. So, if he’s fit and picked on Saturday and manages all 16 remaining games with 8 goals thrown in for good measure then surely that’s a Hit ? Likewise if it’s just another 4 or 5 starts with a couple of goals or assists then it’s a Miss ?
Is the same set of hypothetical stats the same for Ravel Morrison and for that matter Oumar Niasse should they join ?

Prediction:
He's registered for Jamaica. Sod's law he's probably thrown away his British Passport & any right to reside in this country. We'll have to appeal for a work permit so he won't be able to make his debut until the final day of the season against Reading, when he'll be brought off the subs bench along with fellow debutant Oumar Niasse on 85 minutes with the score 2-0 to Reading.
Niasse will recreate the form he showed in Russia, whilst Ravel Morrison looks every inch the world class footballer he was expected to be as we win 7-2 but get relegated anyway. Probably by virtue of a controversial last minute equaliser from fucking Birmingham. Then in the summer we'll give the 2 new lads long term contracts (on the sort of wages some chump on here recently said we were paying to Sorba Thomas) in a big push for promotion and they both turn out to be worse than Diakhaby for the rest of their careers.

Corberan on Ravel Morrison:
"We always analyse the type of players we consider, we know he's one.
We have two possibilities with free agents who haven't been playing for a long time.
We need to analyse which player can help us, and whether they can cover a position we need."

If we do sign Morrison then let’s at least see what he can actually bring to the team before loads wading in and slagging his potential arrival. Not aimed at you shortfuse by the way!

We all know which position we need to cover most and with a record of 19 goals in 10 years, Morrison doesn't cover it.

Good lord.
I’d rather have Niasse than Yaya that is for sure.

Sanogo - Morrison and Sanogo are done so I've been told (Sanogo awaiting ratification of FA) According to wiki Sanogo has a 1 in 3 goal record although that's skewed by him scoring 1 in 2 for Auxerre and Auxerre B over 10 years ago and then not scoring from 2013 to 2016 at all for Arsenal, Palace, Ajax and Young Ajax 🤨
