We’ve turned up to a deadly shoot out armed with a water pistol and a rubber hammer.

Schofield Keogh Bacuna Holmes Campbell Mbenza
Not one of them is good enough for Championship football. Schofield is out of his depth. Keogh I'm not even gonna say anything. Bacuna is a total liability. Holmes wasn't good enough for us in league 1. Campbell....past it. Mbenza...not really an actual footballer. That's over half the team! Any wonder why we look so shit.

Call me thick (your welcome) but do owners normally expect to get back money they put into a club (its sport not a business) and if it was a loan what happened to Prem money and parachute payments. The ONLY hope for Town is for the club to sold, preferably to someone who isn't a fan. The Ipswich owner is writing off over £100m as part of the sale going through at the moment. Isn't he worth £800m? About a third of that was from when he took over as well. Edit: he's also been charging 5% interest on that debt.

When Hoyle invested in us we were League One and realistically had no chance of making that money back. By getting to and staying up in the Premier League there was an opportunity to take it back one which when the parachute payments run out and if we are back in League One whatever is still owed to him will likely be lost

Is that the same Pipa who must be the only wingback/ fullback playing on the RHS in the league who NEVER crosses a ball from the right side.? We are royally fucked if you think he is too good for us Pipa looks good going forward I'd say but not a good defender, same applies to our other star full back He looked good going forward earlier in the season. Not now.

If i`d lent 40 million quid to someone i`d want it back too. Lent? He constantly said he was putting money in and didn't expect it back. He said Janet had given him x and he was playing with it. Clubs do their brains. We won't do our brains. We've done our brains, I'll have my cash back. Even though I'm part of the shambles and the cash being spaffed quicker than an 18yo in a brothel. I've said it before, but Dean said he was happy to spend what was needed to be a L1 and Championship club with no expectation of a return. We then lucked out and found ourselves in the Premier League. And that meant Dean had to spend more than expected. So why not just take back the unexpected PL expenses? Not all the money from the previous 10 years when you told us all that it was your "train set" that you could and would pay with no expectation of return. Edit: I expect Mids and Slapper to come along soon to tell me why I'm all wrong and we should be waving yellow and black scarves because we've had a chairman whose greed has hamstrung the club

The ONLY hope for Town is for the club to sold, preferably to someone who isn't a fan. What often happens is that the new owner coming at least has the money to buy out the old owner. Don't forget, Hoyle actively sought Hodgkinson out because he wanted out of the club. He must have known that PH didn't have the money to buy him out but he obviously thought "it's alright, we've got the parachute money to get my money back". That money was supposed to be used to pay the higher players contracts. Whether he wanted his money back or not, was it necessary to get it all back so quickly? Yes, I know it's his money and he wants it back but, let's be honest, is that £45m really going to make a huge difference to his lifestyle if he has to wait a little longer?

I don't have the stats, but I suspect he has more direct goal involvements than any other player this season.

It came from when he sold the card factory but I don't think he was the sole shareholder.

Is it Phils fault, is it Carlos fault or even is it Covid fault. The only critism I would make of Phil is that he should have borrowed vast sums of money at high interst rates to buy players and pay them big bucks. Its working for Birmingham, Wednesday, Derby and if it all gors wrong just put the club in Administration and walk away. Yes I might be being sarcastic or I might be prediction the future for these clubs! You really are the no.1 deluded, head in the sand, happy clapping fan.

You have hit the nail on the head. It is now being run as a business which it should be and in these difficult financial times I am with a Chairman that spends as little as he can (altho I accept he is taking a gamble on staying in this league). Its like saying that the CEO of Heathrow Airport is a complete arswhole as he has taken the business from making a huge profit a year ago to a huge loss now!

Don't write it off as charity 25% of the club for the 7.25m of loans he converted to shares in the past. So some of that will still be in the club as well.

So Elijah Adebayo wasn’t good enough for us.
But, 2 starts, 2 goals, and 1 assist later..
Are we seriously sure he couldn’t have improved us?
Again, absolutely embarrassing today.
Regardless of what division we’re in, we are going to find it hard to shift season tickets for next season.
I haven’t read the whole thread, but if anyone is defending that, then you may as well delete my DATM account now...

I think pipa will probably go somewhere else next season. Ive said it since we signed him that he is too good for us. Maybe, but his performance levels have dropped drastically as the season has gone on. He's not playing anywhere near as well as he was, and he isn't a great defender. i agree he gets beaten by his first man way too often.

But the fact we are still functioning in “Covid times” is enough for some people. The standard we have set ourselves is so low.

Maybe it wasn’t a big ask to write some off. Whereas I'm off the mind he is entitled to his money back one has to ask how much money one man needs before the amount is actually totally irrelevant. If he is worth over 300 million it makes him look a total penny pincher taking his money back over an accelerated period. There is only so much money one man could ever need in his lifetime.

I take your point but to me he spends too long looking disinterested, can't actually beat a man, and to have him in the team just for his free kicks just smacks of desperation. Just my opinion (shared by lots on here.)

Call me old fashioned but the manager should decide what players he wants then tells the club to try & sort.
Our transfer dealings have been shambolic fir several windows - I am losing faith in CC but recruitment team/Bromby need to go, this window has been laughable.
God knows how we are still 7 points clear
