I'd start him tonight. Fuck it, why not? We know Cardiff will be a big side and try to dominate set pieces. I would as well. What is Sanogo, 6’3”, 6’4”? Could be useful in both boxes.

Personally, I’m over the moon with Ya Ya. First time since Big Steve played that we have looked physically strong up front. At long last we have a focal point for games where we just have to go more direct. Ok , he missed his pen but I saw enough to think he’s going to do well for us.

I thought he looked utter garbage.
The positive whilst he was mostly wandering aimlessly around, often stood offside seemingly unaware, in between making all the wrong runs, shutting him off as an option to pass to, was it meant there was another player on the pitch to take some attention away from Campbell who was able to have a half decent outing as a result.
Hope he contributes a lot more in the coming weeks.

Am I perhaps the only perhaps the only person who is minded to remark on his run from Town's 6 yard box to the half-way line, where he was fouled by (you guessed it) Flint. He won quite a lot of headers against massive, hulking opponents. He will take some time to "bed in". Give him a chance.

Not many teams in this league have as many big and physical players as Cardiff. Will be interesting how Sanogo gets on against lesser opponents, and he has a few weeks extra training with the team behind him.

Correct he will take time to bed in...Ie, he looked woeful in this one game, which is all I’m talking about at the moment, I’m not in any way suggesting he’s not going to improve or contribute more in coming games.

Thankfully?! 🤷♂️🤣 Most of the written media and the stats based sites that I’ve glanced at have him, Pipa and Bacuna as our three worst performers of the night, so not sure where you get your opinion from!?

Anyone who watched that game would not have Pipa in the worst three, or Sanogo. The big fella took some time to get going, 30 minutes actually, but after that he contributed a ton. Pipa is playing out of position and he put his usual shift in. Bacuna always gets a hard time because he keeps trying the delicate fancy stuff that never seems to pay dividends. But, look how much of the ball he has. Bacuna and O'Brien have more possession than the rest of the team combined. We would be shafted without them.

I was correcting the misinformation from the other poster who suggested the media disagreed with me on Yaya’s performance on Friday. Most of the media, reportage and pure stats sites, have Yaya, Pipa and Bacuna as our lowest scoring players on the night, it’s a fact, and for a reason.

Do you think anyone cares if some shithouse football stat website gives Yaya 7.8 and O’Brien 7.9. The fans of that club can clearly see who has played well and who hasn’t. The fact that you use your evidence from websites stating that Yaya, Pipa and Bacuna were statistically the lowest scoring players sums up how accurate they are to the actual game that we see with our eyes. Stats may indeed show low scores, people with half a brain can see beyond those.

It was another poster than myself who was referring to the media backing up his opinion of Yaya on Friday, even though the fact is the media in general disagreed with him. That’s all I’m saying!! 🤣 I *know* Bacuna and Pipa had half decent games (Pipa probably his best couple of outings after two or three disappointing months). I’ve got eyes...and my eyes also told me that Yaya contributed close to nothing on Friday, he was positionally poor, and technically a let down. Hopefully he improves and is a more positive influence in the remaining time we have him...he certainly looks like he’s got the tools.

I used the word “Media” I was referring to comments in The Examiner. I wasn’t expecting a forensic dissemination of my post, but I’ve noticed before that this is your “style” as I know others have commented previously. You have stated that you thought Sonogo was “Garbage” rather than challenge your post I should not have replied and just held the same thoughts I usually have when you post on here .

I did think his contribution was garbage, because it was. HOWEVER - I thought what having an extra player pushed forward did do was mean Campbell wasn't so easily policed, and we gained an advantage through Yaya simply being on the pitch and being a centre forward. Hopefully he improves. Agree?!

He looked a little rusty as youd expect with so little game time over the past 9 months or so, but I thought he did ok overall. Won plenty of aerial duals against some huge defenders and held the ball up well on occasion.
Not great but certainly not garbage either.

I can't believe for one minute you think he was garbage unless you didn't actually watch the game and have just gone off the fact that "he's a free transfer with a poor goal scoring record that hasn't played for 9 months or so" and used that to base your opinion on his performance. I think you've actually read a report somewhere that wasn't favourable towards him without watching the game and then posted roughly what you've read then just kept digging your hole with every post after when most others are disagreeing.

I think you've made a lot of incorrect assumptions. I've missed about 30mins of Town games home and away this season! I didn't read *any* reports until the other poster incorrectly suggested the media had a different view to mine. What I did do was watch the game with the sound turned down, I wonder if the commentary has influenced peoples perception. I know for example the last time we were also on Sky (Derby?) - I watched the first half via iFollow and switched to the Sky coverage at half time, and the impression of the game being portrayed was VERY different. Not sure why you (and the usual couple of suspects) are getting so defensive about a player who contributed very little - gave away more fouls on the night than Campbell did, was pretty poor in terms of winning balls into feet and in the air (although at least he did show a willingness to attack the ball rather than just back into the man), and whose passing was incredibly wayward throughout. Hope he improves - I'd expect him to.

He's an interesting signing and I hope he succeeds. I was though slightly put off when someone told me the the Arsenal fans used to call him Sonogoals! 😨

Thought he helped us hold the ball higher up the pitch and he gave their defenders something to think about. Was happy that McCarthy said that they tried to sign him too, gives me slightly more confidence that he could be a good signing for us.

I'm sure I'll want to make up for the penalty miss. Still plenty of games to put that right. Against the Massive would be perfect.
