Gough? Darren Gough? A Tory? Iβm sure youβre right but I find that as hard to believe as the plight our ex owner has allowed our club to get into. Heβd be an embarrassment to the Labour Party never mind the Tories would that Neanderthal. To be fair I meant the general population not the Yorkshire southerners. Boycott and Gough are for sure, I don't know about Parkinson. All I know is he loves Barnsley so much he has lived in Berkshire for decades. I think Gough lives in Milton Keynes these days.

Forest Green Rovers v Huddersfield Town.
Has a certain ring to it.
Son in law was head groundsman, then Dale Vince booted him out in first lockdown, bringing in freelance operators. Ruthless bugger. Be like two rutting stags, him and big Phil!

Totally agree. In truth, this is happening all over Yorkshire. Local people not been able to afford to live in an area where they and their parents have lived all their lives. Go up to the Dales and most new builds are aimed at selling to people from out of the area. I agree. But why build expensive houses in areas like Paddock and Crosland Moor? If they're not going to build cheaper houses in those areas then they won't build them anywhere. They're going to build 250 posh houses on green belt land in Netherton despite us not having the school, doctor or dentist capacity for them. A group was set up to fight it. Hilariously they got an, as then, unemployed Jason McCartney to help fight it. When I pointed out he'd voted for the legislation that allowed it to happen when he was MP I was told "not to bring politics into it". The sheep then voted the goggle eyed, self saving twat back in. He hasn't been near a meeting since π€

Didn't want to know anyone, teacher or child, the photographer turned up and he was all over everyone til the photos were done. The bloke was a LibDem that failed to get in in Leeds so turned into a Tory and came to Colne Valley. He even used to pretend he was a Town fan. This gentrification/population explosion thing is interesting.
I grew up in Birchencliffe, opposite the petrol station. Da Sandro's opened then the owner, Signor Bevilacqua, decided he wanted our house and the others on the row, to build the Briar Court Hotel.
So he bought the row, gave my mum and dad what they wanted to relocate, and we ended up in Lindley.
I went to the Infant and Junior schools there and they were decent sized, fully attended schools. This was the mid to late 80s.
Since then they've built on the school playing fields, they've developed Lindley Moor and the site that was the old YEB at the top of Thomas Street.
Where are these kids going to school? Their doctors surgeries? Their dentists?
I can only assume they go somewhere else for all of the above.

If you follow the replies there's even a bloke who topped himself following this twat His accent is annoying i dont like his jumper aside from that investing in property is nothing new and surely it is better than houses been empty? As for working class voting conservative its democracy..personally i despair when i see people getting all tabbed up about any political party...Whatever the colour of the rosette it dosnt matter they do not give a shiny shit about you ...bulging eyes or a worse than useless pensioner..they are on a elitist gravy train and we are not invited. I got my nut around it years ago and i just crack on and do the best for my family and friends without climbing over anyone to achieve it. Everyone happy with this twat? Why do working class people vote for fuckin Tories?

Sorry, what's he doing wrong? I've done loads of work for southern based landlords, and generally they keep their properties in good order, and run their business in a professional manner. As long as they do that, why is it an issue?
