He did but in the interim he’d gone on loan to Derby and decided we are a set of wankers. Possibly quite fairly Agree he got lots of abuse. What’s that saying? “Be careful what you wish for “. !!! Just saying I can understand why he didn’t want to stick around Edit: Just re-read your post, yeah exactly!

What seems to have gone unnoticed during the cock-up of the first Fulham goal is the absolute lazy attitude of both Sarr and another Town defender (?) who both amble slowly back towards the goal whilst the two Fulham forwards race forward at full pelt to take advantage of Schofield's error. It was colwill ,

It was colwill , Yeah it was, it was also him who’d messed up the pass that Thomas decided he’d do everything he could to keep in that led to Schofield clanger. Basically an error compounded by two more errors and poor decision making all round.

If Schofield does start, then the best thing the fans could do at the start of the game is sing his Name.
It would give him a real boost and he needs that right now, anything to help build his confidence back up.

What’s the current situation with Ryan Schofield? Is he still injured or has he been taken out of the firing line for a while?
It would appear that our younger keepers are being pushed forward into the first team squad…

Hopefully we’re trying to find a buyer, we’d have lost today with Schofield flapping and confusing the defenders in front of him.

I hope he finds success, but he needs a move away, no way he's beating Nicholls for the job now.
A half season loan with an option to buy to a league 1 or 2 team would be ideal.

Without opening this for another set of “he’s 💩” comments , what is genuinely the story here?
Surely he’s over his shoulder injury as he’s been seen training and at pre-match warm-ups, but he’s had no minutes in the pre-season games that we are aware of although he was on the bench for the Bolton game
Is Bilokapic now in front of him? We looking to loan Schofield out before the end of the window? We in for another back-up keeper?

Its not working out here in my opinion. He may be best with a clean slate somewhere else

I can't see Ryan Schofield rebuilding his career without a move, at the very least on loan.
When a side has a bad day, they generally want another game quickly to get it out of their system. A terrible run of form can affect confidence long term. RS has been a long time without a run of games, and when he has been put back in the side for the odd game he hasn't looked confident.
A decent run of first team football and a few good performances under his belt and he may yet go on to become a decent keeper. A loan to League 2 or one division either side could do wonders for him.

So many bad days with us, its tough for a keeper at the same club. A fresh start would take pressure off him. Nichols has errors in the bank for us and one should not bugger him up, Ryan comes in and the first one sets him so far back again.

Good move for him... The Hi-Bees often under achieve (if a team up here fu#k up all other fans say - They Hibs-d it) ! - And he’ll have plenty to do should he displace David Marshall...
I think a director of communication at Huddersfield Town went to Hibernian a few years ago - he will show him the ropes in Edinburgh, a very nice city to go out on the piss and dine in - (me and ma ex girl Tracey went there every weekend as she hated going out in Paisley)... I’m trying for the life of me to remember his name and have some reply from him back home but not back to The West Island till 3rd September
Hopefully he gets a run, plenty to do and it builds up his confidence a good bit !

Cant play here, the first error would be playing too much on his mind. It would be likely to bring him a great deal of stick. Needs a couple of games elsewhere without dropping a bollock to get him going. All the above notwithstanding, I dont think he has what it takes in his all round game to keep goal at our level.

scottish football has seen some dodgy keepers over the years!!. Such as? Was one called Barkas with Celtic at Parkhead in 2020 that Neil Lennon wasted £4.5 million on... He was abject - yet he was The Greek International goalkeeper with quite a few caps and he couldn’t hack it in the backwater League of The SPFL Premier League ! The Hoops are ok now with Joe Hart, they’ve had good ones over the years like Packie Bonner and Artur Boruc in more recent times and Fraser Foster, and had a decent one a few years ago called Jonathon Gould, but disasters like Carl Muggleton, Gordon Marshall to name but a few... Rangers on the other hand have always had really good goalies like Peter McCloy, Chris Woods, Andy Goram (RIP), Stefan Klos, Allan McGregor over the last 40 years - and with goalkeepers being such a specialised position to the team and Gers having historically had them, it’s remarkable that The Hoops have pretty much all the records going in Scottish footy ! Before ma time (Thank Goodness) but in 1963 England banged NINE past a Celtic goalie called Frank Haffey representing Scotland in The Home International Championship.... The standing joke up here at pub closing in the 60’s was - “What’s the time, is it Half past nine” - “Nah.. it’s nine past Halfey” was the reply !!!
