Has has had far too much unhelpful stick of late but what a reactionary save today with his hands and feet.
Two successive clean sheets.
Chuffed to bits for him
Well done Ryan

A number of times this season the "Fuc......." has turned into a "Fuck me, what a save!".

Well done Ryan Glad you said unhelpful rather than unjustified (& TBH the "stick" was generally directed towards those who left the club in a position where a young keeper couldn't be rested when he faced an (inevitable?) drop in form rather than at Ryan). A return to levels of 2020 performances today.

It should do his confidence the world of good today. Not a huge amount for him to do but that save was quality 👌

The save and immediate clearance at nil nilare a big factor as to why we have come away with 3 points tonight!

Schofield has made some mistakes, but most of the criticism was unfair for a lad trying to make his way at a young age in one of the strongest leagues in the world. CC has changed the system to being a bit more defensive minded and... voila!

I think we have/had 2 options. Play Schofield as first choice for the rest of the season and give him the opportunity to prove he is good enough to be first choice next season or go with the ‘Loans’ which means we would beed to start all over again next season when they go back.

Thought he looked a lot more confident and commanding today like he actually knew what he was doing.
Maybe having an older keeper in the squad to train/tutor him is helping?

Critic of this guy as he’s not ready. But, 2 clear sheets and you have to give the lad credit. Super double save today on the line, was also impressed when he left his line and dived to collect the ball. Well done Scoffa.

If he f#££ed up, which he nearly did, he's no chance of recovery as the balls in the net. It's nothing that decent coaching can't solve.

here's hoping the lad has a decent close season and maybe bulks up a bit. The club could maybe get him an older and wiser number two who could help him out and maybe mentor him a little. He has the potential but throwing him to the wolves like we did when hamer left didn't do him any favors. onto Wednesday.

Blaming the lad himself for ‘not being ready’ is about as intelligent as blaming Smithies for not being tall enough.
There really are some arseholes on this site.

Might be decent in future but so far he’s proved NOT ready for 1st team at this level.
If we’re serious about challenging next season we need to sign a decent keeper. I’d prefer a seasoned keeper than a premier league loan.
