I wonder if West Brom's Players Union representative has got wind of Wagner's tough training regime yet? Hoping the West Brom players won't be doing cartwheels when they find out what they'll have to be doing pre-season!! This is what DW should be worried about. When he came to Town, there were no expectations and very few egos (once Vaughan had gone). We were a raggle-taggle bunch of misfits and outcasts - which played brilliantly into his hands. We were the underdogs. Now he's dealing with Premier League egos and players thinking they're too good to be playing Luton. Are they going to want to spend a week shitting in a carrier bag in the backwaters of Sweden? Will they accept being told they must double their training sessions if they want to be good enough? When you have a team of 'stars' it's hard justifying to people why your guys on £50k a week shouldn't be playing, but the ones on £5k a week should. It's a very, very different proposition to the one he last had in England. But one he has earned. People shit in a carrier bag outside. If im out in the wild and I need a shit I ain't holding a carrier bag under it. Jeez, some people don't know they are born.

Personally I hope our fans show their class by standing up and applauding the man who managed the team that got to the premier league. It will be his first time back, therefore our first opportunity to show our appreciation.
If we can’t clap Wagner then who can we give a good reception to ?

I feel a bit snubbed tbh, if Wagner was wanting a job back in the UK..why hasn't he come to us ?..We've been jilted ! What do you think he would feel like if he saw the ridiculous title of this thread 😄🙈

He totally lost it and has never recovered. Loved him but the effort drained him, was disappointed he bottled it, but he was shot and so even if he had stayed the extraordinary had become ordinary. Cant see him ever achieving such heights again, but great memories for sure. His line when asked when he would join a big club 'but Huddersfield are a top club' was priceless and his 'no limits' was a breath of very fresh air.Why he signed such dross in that second year will forever haunt us both.

Wonder if Hudson or Whitehead will get a place on the coaching team?

This is exactly as I see it. No one knew him and he didn't really know us. It won't be anything like the same there. Anyway who do those twats think they are? A decent side in the 70s, a yo yo cub for the last few years, but they were on their arse in division three with us in the late 80s, and since their one league champions trophy Town have been crowned three times. All the midland clubs are as bad as each other for it. All much of a muchness (bar Villa) yet all think they are top flight dead certs. WBA are just another in the list of clubs with gates of circa 20-25k when in the top 2 divisions. You could probably stretch to about 25 other comparables. When west Brom were proper shit I always found their fanbase a bit more offbeat and down to earth than other clubs of that size. Obviously recent 'success' has increased their crowd numbers with wanker fans.

I'm full of admiration for what he achieved up and until the second season in the PL. He then chose players that didn't have Terrier Spirit and had limits. He was responsible for spending (wasting) the PL millions. When he saw it was all going pear-shaped he decided to jump ship whilst the man who'd backed him to the hilt was gravely ill in hospital. That was pretty disrespectful

My view on this mate is DH letting Stuart Webber go rather than paying him to stay and support the set up had the very unfortunate consequence of not only not having support for DW when DH got ill, but losing his contact book is what the club really paid the price for in all those lost bits of paper. Which is why we are where we are. For the record Norwich had a shit year and we've had 2 since coming down. DW simply couldn't do it on his own, no one can in the PL.

Really not looking forward to seeing him in the Wembley dugout, when we play West Brom in next season's play-off final.

Well you know what it's like on here, if I'd predicted top two rather than third (four points ahead of WBA, seven ahead of Sheffield United), I'd get accused of being a happy clapper!

None of that is a fact, it's all opinion/ subjective. Even saying 'he signed' isn't necessarily a fact- was he definitely primarily responsible for all those signings? He may have been for some or all, but we've heard varying accounts.

town vs west Brom then first game plus picture the scene. Carlos waits over a year to meet the fans and we spend 90 mins declaring our love for Wagner That would mainly be the Muppets that applauded Harry Kane I know what you're saying but I doubt many of them will be there....

For me, all this talk about DW blowing up, came down to the decision not to pay webber stupid money instead of players.

How the fuck does that work, then? "Hey David, we'd love you to be our next manager" "And I'm looking forward to starting" "Just starting?" "I guess" "David, how hungry are you for promotion...?" "Meh. Not starving"

Who do WBA fans want in? Seen a few of their fans comments and unhappy about Wagner but if he can get Huddersfield Town promoted and keep us up, of course he can so it with them. Looking at their fans' responses - I can see it now: WBA Announce Jurgen Klopp as their next manager. Fans underwhelmed. Cries of "Scraping the barrel" fill the Black Country air.
