You’d assume the text is from Hogg and the other Schindler Two questions. 1. Why are our players texting the chairman in that way? Shouldn't there be some distance? I'd never message my CEO about my boss saying "he's fucking shit hot, mate". 2. What the fuck is he wearing? One can only presume he knew he was going to be on camera Nuremberg special Edition kit?

Jesus Christ give the lad a day off, if he doesn't speak everybody kicks off if he does speak everybody kicks off. Its clear we are having a big summer of change lets see where we are come August and support the club being open with us.

I couldn't personally give a stuff if he was wearing a tu-tu. Absolutely no wonder the club are less than enthusiastic about communicating with fans.

To be fair, Phil doesn't make it easy for himself does he? Leaving aside the shirt, it just does not sound professional to have a player texting the owner & calling him mate... it just makes it sound like Phil is trying too hard to be one of the lads. To be fair, it's a football club - not a Fortune 500 financial services company. Nowt wrong with that, for me. Yes, everything is backwards when the people at the bottom of the hierarchy (the players) are the most valuable asset. I don't think I've ever had a job where I earn more than my manager!

Christ. I reckon this will resonate most with 18-40 year olds, who will at some point have been trapped into having a pissed up conversation with someone who looks exactly like that. The types that dress in a style that only they see as youthful (guaranteed he's also rocking some ill-fitting jeans whose label was big in 1996, Firetrap probably), lean into your personal space far too much, go to needless lengths to back up whatever dull points they've just made, and generally think all the young lasses fancy them, despite them laughing behind their back when they've been sent up to the bar for another round of Bacardi Breezers. Cringe on toast. That picture is SO Firetrap jeans. Highly distressed. Maybe with a sequinned dragon on the arse. Finished with a pointy pair of shoes the colour of chicken korma.

There's been a bit of gentle micky-taking because of his shirt. In exactly the same way that there would be if he was my mate and he walked into the pub wearing that. DATM is a collection of (mostly) working-class blokes coming on here for their own amusement. It's not the Oxford debating society. There's nothing wrong with pointing out that that's a mental shirt at the best of times, but even moreso given the surroundings.

I’ve not been his biggest fan so far but am ready to listen to what he says and see what action he takes this Summer.
Can someone post a link to the interview later please? (Busy around the time of the interview airing). Thanks 👍🏼

I don't think anybody's ever suggested that, but we do expect him to spend some of the £50million plus we've earned in player sales since relegation and deliver on his promise to back the manager. Lets hope this interview and the promised monthly update (due this week) brings some good news and then we can start to get behind him and the club in general.

I have no problems with PH having a relationship directly with the players. It actually means he has a finger on the pulse of what they are thinking etc so I'd probably do the same if I was him. Yes there's the risk he could get "played" but I reckon a self made millionaire will have the street smarts to know if a 20 something footballer is leading him along!
As for his dress sense - not what I would wear but I see far far worse fashion sense in the terraces on a matchday!

So it appears that there is an “exclusive interview” with Phil on Radio Leeds this evening at 6pm. Hopefully it’s interesting listening. From the clip it seems he’s been told by several players how highly they rate Carlos. Wonder what else will be discussed. Will he reveal that he has paid Deano off if it’s true which would be lovely but doubt? Will he reveal how hard he’s gonna back Carlos this summer? Will people hammer him no matter what he says. I’ve already seen been slagging off his Tshirt so I’d imagine it will be mainly the latter. Discuss... I absolutely think that the best thing to do is discuss this for sure, but not util we've heard from the man first. Too many mights, coulds and maybes before we know the outcome of the interview.

They didn't say that we'd have to tune into radio leeds to get it.

How is a closed season interview with the chairman not important in the context of this being a Town message board? Especially considering the amount of abuse the club and owner have been getting over the last 6 months?

Fair enough, I read it read as sarcasm. Oh, it was sarcasm. Very much so. Obviously, the content of the interview is important, but people taking the piss out of his shirt and David Brent-style persona is also not worth getting worked up about. We can eagerly await the content of the interview while simultaneously suggesting the shirt was bought with the 50p we got for Adama Diakhaby and that his joy at being called "mate" by a player shows how ill-suited to the job he is.

As I see it, it’s make or break time. With Season Card sales being ( allegedly) slow , we need a statement and actions of real intent from the club. If we don’t get this then the club deserves all it gets but if we do see signs of positive intent it’s time to get back behind the club.

I literally commented on what I saw with my own eyes (which I've since leached) and what I heard with my own ears (which I've now van gogh'd) Are you his mum or something?
