Good luck fella have a nice night Actually, I have not been diagnosed by a professional, I am a self declared member of the Autistic Spectrum, having read about stuff that made me different, wondering why I was bullied by people that may have had your characteristics? I now stand up for myself & my opinions in the knowledge that some are prejudiced against some like me. And I stand up for the true sense of equality, and have been accused of being racist on here, by the fake band wagon PC obsessives that can't see their own prejudices, of which I believe you are a member. Don’t worry, mate. Everytime Tedchipster gets caught out, he says something like “have a good night”, or a variation of that. That’s when you know he’s unsure. |

Yes, most definitely, i've known Otium for over 40 years and i know whose posts i would rather read on here and its certainly not the posts of the odious, self important big daddy g and his legion of bullies. Disagree with them and you get banned, smacks of MCarthyism, Hitlers Germany and Stalinist Russia and todays social media cancel culture. Speaking of cancel culture I remember reading about a university in US were some students at an off campus party committed the unspeakable crime of wearing a Mexican Sombrero (cultural appropriation), when the university found out they were sent for re-education classes. Mao would be proud his ideas on education have spread way beyond China. The interesting thing about PC and cancel culture as been how little the right have opposed such ideas, you don't need a weatherman though to work that out. The right just have to bide their time a lesson Hitler learnt after the failure of the Beer Hall Putsch. Statues of Churchill and those who died fighting fascism today, book burning tomorrow. George Carlin once said “political correctness is just fascism pretending to be manners.” |

In this context, libel would be me saying he'd said homosexuality iss deviant when he hadn't. Me interpreting him saying homosexuality is deviant as homophobic is an opinion so not subject to libel. It could be seen as defamation, but that's about as likely as Town being in the Champions League two seasons from now. |

Yes, I'm 100% certain, the Defamation Act was updated and introduced 'honest opinion' as a defence (replacing the ill defined 'fair comment') >> www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2013/26/section/3/enactedGag_N_Bone_Man (Destabiliser) would say (and has said) that he has the honest opinion that otium (EPBS) is a homophobe on the basis of a post that otium (EPBS) made labelling deviancy on homesexuals. That 'deviant' post was the fact that existed at the time that Gag_N_Bone_Man (Destabiliser) published his opinion. It doesn't matter whether Gag_N_Bone_Man (Destabiliser) is factually wrong or not to leap to the conclusion about him being a homophobe on the basis of the usage of labelling homosexuals deviant, it's his opinion. ie - it doesn't matter if otium (EPBS) indeed is NOT a homophobe, Gag_N_Bone_Man (Destabiliser) has the right to express that opinion based on his understanding and interpretation of what otium (EPBS) has written. |

Still can't work out how two admins have become judge, jury and executioners on here. I liked Otium, no idea what he said, because like many others I barely post anymore because the site has been ruined by snowflakes. Maybe the admins should have an independent adjudication panel to to analyse and ratify their decisions. Anyway the admin is overbearing on this site, life bans for Leeds fans only. I would imagine a week off for most would be sufficient for the alcohol to pass the system and for them to be moderate again. Otiums mental health must be on the floor, illness, coming out of lockdown and then limited life expectancy and then you drive another nail in. It's the gestapos decision but can't say I necessarily agree whatever has gone on. Maybe an amnesty is required on the good old posters like Nick etc and bring them back into the fresh start and the new season. *3 admins Maybe the 3 admins should appoint me as the grandmaster to have final say on things. I'm pretty fair, It's pretty much impossible to upset me, and I appreciate banter in all forms. I even read the written word as banter!! I hope over the years no-one was serious when they abused me, but if they were the benefit of any doubt has gone with banter. Anyway. Make a call and give an independent the chance to over rule on appeal. So leeds fan, life ban no worries. Otium life ban, reduced to a week or two on appeal, as at the end of the day he's a town fan and a committed one at that. A week or two off would probably do the trick. Nick, I'd have him back and just ban him a week at a time, he would soon learn. |

Delighted to show you another model that works. I happen to be an admin on Wikipedia (with an entirely different username!). We start off with warnings and then progress through escalating blocks. If all fails then, yes, an indefinite block is imposed but in general the escalating blocks work. Read all about them at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Blocking_policy . So, warnings, a series of bans that increase in time and ultimately a permanent ban. How is that any different to the process on this site? On Wikipedia all warnings and blocks (bans) are publicly visible on the person's user page so everyone can see the process that was followed. There is also a well-established system of appeals for anyone who has been banned. Would you, please, list the previous warnings and blocks (with dates) so we can see the procedure that was followed? |
