Fingers crossed. In a sense I was a bit worried for him. A lot of wingers have suddenly sprung to the fore since we signed him. Sorba Thomas looks superb, Koroma would have walked POTS last year if he'd not been injured, Rowe looks a lot better than we thought he'd be, we've signed Aarons (who might still come good), Pat Jones in the youth side looks promising & we still have Mbenza on the books. In that sense he has a lot to do (even if he's fit) to get a first team berth. On the other hand, the fact we have other options does give us chance to give players a run out knowing that they can be taken out of the limelight. It's kind of like last season's goalkeeper situation in reverse. Whereas we had to play Schofield no matter how much he needed a break, we've got an embarrassment of riches in this lad's position. "Embarrassment of riches" is stretching it just a tad 😁 Well, ok. Perhaps. We do look very well stocked in that position though. Such a shame about the central midfield & strikers. If we could swap one or two of our wingers for a striker or midfielder of equal calibre we'd certainly be better off.

Sorba Thomas and Danny Grant came in around the same time. Sure I saw somebody say that the latter was, if anything, seen as the brighter prospect. Sorba Thomas seems to have worked out so far. Why do you say that Grant had been "terribly thought through"? Or are you perhaps beating the club when it is already on its knees? The latter. Get of your high horse. I'm riding my guinea pig, O Chickensupremo.🤪

The club are being very cautious with his hamstrings and his situation with Covid and you can’t blame them. Hopefully it pays off. He should be featuring for the B team in the near future. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong for the kid. The main thing is that he plays some football, be it for the B team or on loan or whatever.

I'm sure I remember hearing he was effected by it quite badly. He was ill for months. Might be bollocks but I'm sure that's what was said

Yeah, you’re all spot on. He got Covid and it affected him big time, had to see a specialist and get scans done I heard. But the good news is he’s not far away now.

Comes across a real top lad and full of positivity and energy to say what’s he’s endured. Hopefully the hamstring injuries haven’t reduced his blistering pace, one of the downsides of rapid players and a tad concerning both went.
Fingers crossed it’s all positive from now and it’s sooner rather than later we see him pushing for a place in the first team.

He seems a great young man, I hope for his sake, & his family's, who seem incredibly important to him, that he's finally over all the troubles & he can get started on what, hopefully, will be a great career with us. If he can play football as well as he interviews, we'll have another young star on our hands for sure.
All the best Danny.

Subconsciously you start adding more pressure to the unaffected leg when recovered as you are afraid of a reoccurrence. This provides an inbalance and often results in a pull or tear to the unaffected leg. I speak from experience, it's what my Physio told me.

Can’t wait to see this lad start playing - he was the one from January I was more excited about. Looks like a great lad to have around the squad too.
Thomas Rowe Grant
Exciting times for our wings…! Genuine pace, trickery and enthusiasm.

Sounds a great lad it's players like him that make up for the piss takers. Good luck to him & can't wait for his debut.

Another setback for the kid, he’s quite ill and has long Covid related pneumonia. Cursed. Had to go to the hospital

Poor lad, as everyone says, all the best to him, because he really has caught everything going since he arrived, let alone the hamstrings. He moved away sadly from his usual environment at just the wrong time. Even in normal times, many people who move away, get married end up getting some illness or another not long after. Different set of "bugs" for a general cover all term that you suddenly have to get used to living with. Normally these are only cause minor illnesses and we soon get used to them, but poor Danny just got clobbered by the biggie of the day. I feel for him and his family, and much as we may not see him in a Town shirt for a long time, the main thing is that he gets completely well, and I truly hope he does.

Hope Town give him the patience he deserves after these setbacks, it's important that they do right by him after he's upped sticks to move here.
