TBH I'm surprised there is even a link on this forum to the other one. You don't see adverts on ITV for BBC programmes  Until it says it's forbidden in the rules, I guess you're stuck with it.;-) Interesting that you appear so subsumed by rules. Talk about having your cake and eating it. If you go by that logic it was the ‘will of the people’ that got Nick banned. Enough people on here complained about him until rules were created that excluded him. So banning Otium was AGAINST the will of the people and that was bad and banning Nick because it WAS the will of the people is also bad. Make your mind up. It’s an imperfect system not least cos no one can agree on what is and isn’t acceptable. You found that out on day one as the sole admin of your board. I agree that the current admin team can be a bit fussy but I wouldn’t do it for all the tea China and it’s rare that they ban anyone without warnings. It’s just a shame that the board is being split but not the first time, eh? .... And the will of the people should have seen numerous cards and possible bans handed out last week, but they weren't. If you're happy with selective application of the rules depending on who they impact, that's fair enough. I'd say it demonstrates a lack of respect from the admins to the rules they are bound by, and to the posters and forum they are supposed to fairly represent. But I don't think anybody on here should be questioning my decision to remove a few comments at my discretion on another forum. At least show some respect and raise the question on that forum, rather than on this. Ooh. Am I invited to join the new one this time? Don’t forget to let me know what time and day we are synchronising the deletion of our DATM accounts. Wouldn’t want anyone to miss it. |

It’s pretty much Otium spouting utter bollocks with every other poster having a metaphorical circle-jerk around him.
Oh, and everyone endlessly posting about how much they dislike DATM in the manner of a jilted lover crying into her Taboo whilst telling all and sundry about how much they don’t miss their former beau.

I’m not sure what this poll establishes without further details or criteria. Not trying to pull your chain. There are terms of service and community guidelines provided by Proboards readily available which I think are actually tighter than our current rules and there’s only what I’d call limited functionality within this free product offered by Proboards. I’ve tentatively looked and there maybe are other features available, plug-ins etc but not sure what they’d offer this discussion or what technical ability and effort is required to implement them. But without any solid proposed changes it’s difficult to gauge whether we can facilitate them or in fact there is appetite from everyone for it. If that makes sense? |
